I have to agree with that from the body language I saw from both sides and the referee during the stoppage.

Tomorrow is my bday so I'm hoping the 2 national teams I support winning will be their gift to me.
Go Portugal and go USA!!

^ Unfortunately, procrastination is catching me so I won't be able to pay full attention to the match.

However, I see two outcomes. Mexico comes out sloppy and thinking about Friday's game and we get a quick goal, or they come out on fire because of Friday's result. I sure hope it's option #1.

I know im Welsh but i hope England stuff Montenegro tonight after the mind games!

..also, i dont really know whats going to happen in the Wales-Croatia game, obviously i want Wales to win but i dont think that'll happen! ill be happy with a point...

About an hour to kickoff. Klinsmann just added our goalscorer from our win against Mexico this August, Michael Orozco Fiscal, to the roster.

As to the match, I can't expect much more than a scoreless draw as a result for us. I haven't been impressed with our offense as of late, so it'll be up to Omar Gonzalez and company to keep the Mexicans out of net. I would take a point with a smile.

Panama has gone up on Honduras.

0-0 at halftime. Both teams have had chances, Mexico has controlled the play and had the better chances.

Agreed.

15 minutes, how bad do you want this point boys?

That was undoubtedly a penalty. We must capitalize.

The first one was not a penalty, I'm sorry. That one was.

Here comes Brek Shea.

In super slow mo replay. I'd call it a two hand touch because he didn't extend his arms, but I see your point. I really hope we don't miss Zusi's defense here...

YES! Could not be happier.

However. Hernandez will not play this bad against us forever. He played this bad in August, and he left his form in Honduras this evening. It won't happen again. We need offense if we expect another point when the Mexicans come back our way.

My Man of the Match has to be Matt Besler. 15 corners. All defended.

Or the three open net misses by Mexico, namely Chicharito.

He's just there to increase the hype among the fans and only score against small teams (Honduras)

Three ties in 3 matches, 2 of them at home, there's something really serious happening :indiff:

I want to see this USA team be healthy for once. And for Donovan to stop being a primadonna and help out the cause.

That said, the Mexican press must be frothing at the mouth over this result. And the coach's seat must definitely be on max burn right now.

These two results will definitely boost morale going into the next set of matches. Like I said, I saw some good one-twos last night but we need more possession. The ball won't end up in the back of the other net otherwise, and we aren't going to keep clean sheets on everyone.

Just checked, we have friendlies against Belgium and Germany before the next two matches in June. Those will be interesting. My favorite matchup will be seeing if Cameron and the CBs can contain Hazard (if he plays) and how the offense attacks the big CBs in Kompany and Vermaelen.

What a crap night of football!, none of the home nations won! :indiff:

FIFA denied Costa Rica's protest, so that danger has been averted as well.

You've already been eliminated? I thought this set of rounds just started?

Although my assumption that the rounds (although in different formats) are synchronized may be wrong.
