I saw the goal, couldn't read the scoreboard. Did Zlatan score 4 times and Sweden win 4-3? If so, holy mother...

Yep scored all 4 goals, the second was sublime, he made a run into the box. The ball was dinked over, he chested it and smashed it past Hart.
Third was a free kick from 40 yards maybe, again smashed it and went straight to the bottom right.
And his fourth......Jesus :lol

England got 2, and they weren't bad either, one was a cross into the box from young and I think welbeck got on the end and volleyed it in. The second a beautiful free kick from Gerrard into the box and headed in.

Yeah England's goals were from Welbeck and a name I didn't recognize when I looked it up.

We will be having another against Germany. Totally not interested in the friendly games anymore. Our squad doesn't even play at 50% in those. So I just stopped watching them.

Yup! I was in the Amsterdam Arena, but it was a frustrating snooze fest.... The highlight of the game was a group of guys that left before the end of the match and yelled, "#@%@$% Jupiler League" really loud. For those that don't know, that is referring to the Dutch 1st division league... :P

Then I came home and saw the highlights from Sweden-England and my jaw dropped to the ground..... No need to explain.. :)

I'm wondering if Jozy Altidore will get invited to take part in our upcoming hexagonal round of qualifying. Apparently he's been playing out of his mind lately, and he netted a hat trick today for AZ.

Johnson, Gomez and Altidore up front would be deadly.

Well Klinsmann has basically shown great dislike for him as I remember, I recall him saying something along the lines of "we're looking for players to fit our system regardless of ability" when there was a tither last time he wasn't selected.

Klinsmann is also a man of second chances, and given the lack talent comparable to the best of the world, and the relative youth that Jozy still has, Altidore is bound to reappear in the line up. If he can consistently perform, his physicality can wreak havoc and the shorter countries.

I mean he gave Spain all kinds of fits in the Confederations Cup.

I agree.

Hope to see a good showing tonight against Canada, boost morale for this home stretch of qualifying.

Alright first half. We're getting muscled around a bit, but I expect the full team to not get that as much. Also, I'm sure the Hispanic nations have more finesse type players compared to the physical nature of the Canadians.

For those tonight who will play in the hex, I see Beckerman, Zusi, Johnson, Wondo, and Davis playing at a high level.

Another round of friendlies tomorrow then, before the qualies start up again next month..the home nations games are, Wales v Austria, Scotland v Estonia, N.Ireland v Malta, Ireland v Poland and the big match is England v Brazil!

Sturridge, Gerrard and Carrick all out for the friendly tomorrow. I wonder if Neymar will be playing.

England team...Hart, Johnson, Smalling, Cahill, Cole, Wilshire, Cleverley, Gerrard, Walcott, Welbeck, Rooney...interesting team!

Ronaldinho starting for Brazil. I thought he was a lot older than he is, only 32..

I like the fact that he hasn't broken into anything faster than walking pace all first half. If he carries on like that, he could play well into his 50's.

Brazil started 2nd half by a scoring by Fred...

England answered with a fantastic goal by Lampard! :dopey:

Nicely done England. 4th ever win over Brazil and guess what, they were all friendlies.

Goal USA!!

And Honduras levels. Luck.

Michael Bradley is playing like a frightened 12-year-old girl. "Oh, me shoot? Nahhhh."

Load of bull:censored:. If we don't get out of this group Klinsmann will be looking for working quickly.

Good result for Wales! 👍

Bale get a goal, an assist and the man of the match award...and he was only on the pitch for an hour!

Watching the Costa Rica-Panama fixture, it astounds me how good the pitch is there. Yet the freaking Hondurans had a NATIONAL HOLIDAY for the match and their pitch was literally the thickest sod I've ever seen. Atrocious.

Not a big Honduras fan.

Hats off to Costa Rica for drawing level. Their EPL leader, Ruiz, did what he had to do when it counted. This next month is going to sting for all us US fans.

Goal line technology to be used in Brazil and also at the Confederations Cup this summer. If the US will shape up enough to get to enjoy this luxury in 2014, I don't know, but its a nice thought.

Yeah, there is a very interesting video of how the GLT was trialed in the Club World cup here:

So the World cup qualifiers are back up and running this week then..all the home nations involved..

USA needs a win, I feel like we play at home against Costa Rica on Friday. Hopefully its at 9 pm so I can watch.
