Yeah, just put 10 on Ruiz, Howard can handle the other 10.

Dempsey .

Dat boy Clint Dempsey.

Makes your strike look like :censored:e.

According to our friends across the pond.

Criticize the field marshall managing the team all you want, but the players obviously take his message to head and heart. I guess that's the positive side effect of having a successful player as a coach?

While Sweden was busy disappointing the Germans, the Finns were doing what they usually do... Turning a 1-0 deficit into a nice 1-1 draw... Against Georgia...

Yay for England. [/Sarcasm] Another undeserved lead thrown away for no reason.

It could be worse mate! Wales and Scotland are second from bottom and bottom of their group! at least youre top by a point!

Aaaand, Argentina win again. 2-1 against Chile, with goals coming from Messi and:

Former River Plate player, Gonzalo Higuaín. :D

How's Argentina defense? Because I get tired of Argentina being offensive juggernauts in actual tournaments, but then have a gold fish's grasp on the concept of defense.

The same issue that ails Germany.

How many matches are played total? I would be shocked if Israel is the reason Portugal doesn't even advance to round 2.

Why is Israel qualifying with European teams BTW? The way I see it, they could easily snatch a WC spot by moving into the Asian group instead. Unless, of course, political reasons were to prevent them from playing the other Middle Eastern countries.

The latter. Middle Eastern Countries voted them out.

In the group stage there's 6 teams total, and you play each once at home and once away. So 10 games, where only 4 have been played so far. Plenty left to be honest. I can see Portugal advance in 2nd place. It's what they do... have this powerhouse of a team only to limp through qualifiers round, most likely play the playoff/wildcard game, probably against Bosnia AGAIN, and then do decent in the tourney itself lol

Anyone interested in the friendlies taking part tomorrow night then?

Wales havent got a match for some reason, so im not really bothered! ill most likely watch the darts on sky..but i might flick over to the England match during the breaks...

We will be having another against Germany. Totally not interested in the friendly games anymore. Our squad doesn't even play at 50% in those. So I just stopped watching them.

England are at Sweden, and will be the first match at Sweden's new National Stadium. I would say that is quite a decent honour. Brazil got the first full professional match at the New Wembley.

How are you guys' schedules working out? We don't play again until February.

Hmm.. i dont know why that is?..but i think pretty much every european team have got a match tonight..along with a few south americans...some good looking games as well like Holland v Germany and France v Italy..

Four for Ibrahimovic ... and what a goal to finish it off! One to watch again and again

HOLY MOTHER OF SWEET JESUS!!! Ibrahimovic is just a beast, absolutely dominated and then finished it off with possibly the greatest goal in footballing history. I really don't mind losing games like that!
