Anyone else tried ABS off? Just beat my ABS1 ghost by a tenth 2'17.309

I've been trying it with an without ABS and there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of lap time difference. I can't get the same oversteer on the brakes with ABS off though. Must be something to do with the brake balance. It seems like you just start to get the oversteer and then the front plows on like it's been overloaded.

:indiff:

Do you calibrate pedals when going into event by pressing full brake and full throttle?

May not be a battle all the way through but I remember Ti-Tech85 showing up right near the end of a month long TT and coming out on top. Not over yet and good few super fast drivers still missing. Hopefully leaderboards still work for Germans after first week is over too.

Calibrate pedals?? What steering wheel are you talking about bud?

You have to post your time in the thread so that I can add it to the leaderboard. Occasionally I may add/update a time automatically, but to do so with every single GTPlanet member would be far too much hassle.

I'm too tired to update the leaderboard right now; I'll do it tomorrow as soon as I can.

Lol only joking not too fussed, cheers anyways

I can't touch the aliens laps times, but I think a 2:18 is possible for me, as long as I can keep it together.

I can actually hang with Nick McMillen coming out of La Source, but I then start to lose time at Eau Rouge, and after Pouhon, I can't see his line anymore.

I know DFGT and G27 need it doing so I think it will likely apply to your G25 too and also to Fanatec wheels. I don't know about T500RS if it needs doing as I don't have one.

Yes, obviously I do. 👍 Kinda insulting my intelligence there Ali. :)

Just in case ;), I know you are a veteran at GT but seeing a few of your posts here with difference of pace, calibration difference can cause such pace difference. I know it happened to me once before in a TT even though I thought I had calibrated properly, restarting game and doing calibration solved pace issue.

On a T500RS, the pedals are calibrated when you press them all the way down and hold it for 2 seconds. It will be like that for the entire duration of you playing GT6.

Yea, I know, I was just messing with you. 👍 Thanks for the concern and advice though, always appreciated. 👍 I really don't know what to think of the differences in my pace, it really has me boggled. And seems its only happening to me, guess its just a "me" thing.

Now Im confused.. i have a g25.. does the pedals need calibrating as I have never heard of that, If so how do i do it..

I hold the brake down a little when the G27 calibrates. Gives you a bit of movement in the pedal before the brakes engage.

If ur brakes dont work the 1st time u press em on ur first lap of the day then they just calibrated :)

Arhh I see thanks makes sense.. that does happen on the first go.. what about the throttle? When and how do you do it properly?

They calibrate when turned on if u push the pedals straight down from top to bottom n thats it done until u turn the power off

Thanks buddy, I never knew this, maybe il be a lil more consistant now. Will not doing it slow ya down much?

Hopefully you get to the bottom of it 👍. So many things can affect pace as well, for me main one is G27 wheel overheating and losing FFB or even variance in FFB depending on how it wants to behave on the day . Another one is input lag on TV, I think mine is quite high and was quite noticeable in the Senna events so I might look into getting one with a lot less lag.

I prefer having full travel and instant response.

When you go into first driving event after starting up game, hold 100% brake and accelerator and then let go. That should calibrate both pedals.

To be honest i forget alot but as soon as u press brakes it sorts its self out. Throttle will calibrate b4 u notice as most of the time ur already pressing throttle b4 the start of ur lap :)

hey guys,
which steer settings do you use?
I have a DFGT and I don't know which setting is better :P

and how are your lap times?

thanks!

Dfgt also ffb 8 for this car controller sensitivity 0 simulation setting power steering on thats what i use 2.15.639

I just checked all 255 Germans in front of me (only 256th grr) and I'm the 9th best pad driver right now.
Would love to know where I am in the global ranking, but I've got better things to do than check all 2500+ guys which were quicker.

@GTP_CargoRatt I'd suspect burn out. Sounds like you've been doing a lot of laps, it happens to me when I do over 300 miles in a day. If I were you I'd just do some online racing for a day and relax, though I know it's a lot more tempting to carry on at the TT,

Actualy that can trick your brain to think that you are braking when in reality you´re not.
That´s my biggest grip with the T500 pedals, that and the throtle being at 100% when I still have like 3 or 4mm of through, sometimes I think i'm not at 100% when actualy I am causing the lost of traction.
