Idk how much time I'm really going to.out into this this year anymore. I really had high hopes for a top 250 regional finish but spa has never been a great track for me and my new position at work is turning me into a globe trotter away from my wife kids and PS3 so darn much that I'm just not sure I want to put in the seat time.

Such a bummer... have only got to turn about 5 laps so far and still .293 away from gold.

The top times are insane :ouch::(

Well, I just can't stay away. I know I said I was going to take Holty's advice and give it a rest for a few days, but I just can't do it. Been sitting here staring at my PS3 for the past few hours and I've just gotta do it. Bandaged up my raw, bloodied blistered hands in gauze and I'm ready to go. Its going to be painful but hey, no pain no gain, right? Plus, I've played in worse conditions than this anyways....remember the diaper episode.:odd:Anyways, off I go, wish me luck. 👍

You must push yourself a lot, all that happened to me from my all-day, all-month long GT6 craze back in January was having my previously silky smooth hands turn callousy and rugged.

Yea, I push myself to my limits and beyond, to the point of craziness sometimes. I can't help it though, I love time trialing and the competition within. I have this burning passion to be the best, and will stop at nothing to get there, regardless of my physical incapabilities. I think that's what drives me the most, to accomplish something most people say I can't. The road has been long, and I still have a ways to go, but I will get there. ;)

I know this battle all too well, but in the end, the wheel and GT always win. Gymnastics/martial arts training 4x a week always leaves me battered, bruised and broken, plus I accidentally stabbed myself in the hand with a steak knife a month ago...but I can't stay away! Luckily the stitches stayed intact, but I had to change the way I gripped the wheel.

Just saw Immortal's low 14 lap. I'm actually not surprised at all at the improvement given how much time I can gain on my ghosts with a great drift. I rarely get one, though.

Now, I'd love to see the fastest time at the end of this competition with some Ridge Racer music. Just need to paint the GT-R red and plaster a NAMCO sticker in the back and with all the sideways action, no one will know the difference. :sly:

Is the car really slow at reacting to turning in or does my TV have massive input lag? I find myself having to turn in very earlier than I'm used to, guessing when the fronts are going to move.

Look at the options on your tv, it might have different screen settings.
Before I got my monitor I used tv and changed the screen settings to: Gaming.
It reduced some of the lag input

I've never followed the Academy until this year...has it always been won by @Ti-tech85 or something?
I remember a couple of years ago that @Ti-tech85 waited until the last few hours and then set fastest lap. I wonder if he's waiting again. I hope he comes out to play soon, would love to see an Immortal battle.

Wouldn't be surprised if he does the same thing again this year. On another note I watched sprintcupchamp's world #1 no-ABS lap last night. Beautiful.

I rember it was always Ti-Tech85 and Takeuchi from Japan battling it out since the very beginning. Haven't seen Takeuchi's name in awhile.
