Look at the options on your tv, it might have different screen settings.
Before I got my monitor I used tv and changed the screen settings to: Gaming.
It reduced some of the lag input
My old LG had that, not my current TV(Samsung) :(. Thanks though.

I sort of memorized when to turn in now but making correction is still off. Oh well. At least I managed a (******) valid lap. I'm half a second off in the first sector alone compared to usual.

2:18.847

If I could keep my focus on the next corner rather than previous corner for more than one corner in a row I might be able to knock a little off that.

Change your GT6 TV settings to Less Fliicker aka VSync

Finally I got a gold time with 2:20,918. That's it for me. Took me a lot of attempts. But I enjoyed the most of it. I like the car. However, Spa does not seem to be my track. My times were very inconsistent. Just my best two laps combined would be a second faster. Maybe I would go for a better time over the next week, but the challenge ends tomorrow in Germany. BTW: does anybody know why? I know this questions was asked more then once, but I never read an answer so far.
Good luck for all of you! I hope you reach your goals. Be it the car, a certain time, or the finals.

well crap i've hit the "the more you practice the slower you get" wall too.
Sucks too since i've had a couple of blanchimont-red 17.1s.

All the people saying steering sensitivity works on wheels, get in an open wheel car so you can see the steering angle, test lock to lock at a standstill at both ends of the controller sensitivity settings... notice anything? Do the same with the controller, unlike with the wheel, the difference is obvious between -2 and 7. Because there actually is one.

Its not about how much it turns, its about how qwickly they turn, ie sensitivity.. not rotational degrees

I'm pretty sure he's saying you will notice a difference in how fast the wheels turn when you change the sensitivity on the controller, and no the wheel. No where did I see him say that the steering sensitivity changes how much the wheels turns.

so what are you saying spurgy? Do u think It makes a difference?

The only way to change wheel sensitivity is on the wheel itself. G25/27, fanatec, thrustmaster all have ways of doing this that I know of - search around on the forums here, you'll find it.

Even if the controller sensitivity setting worked for a wheel, you wouldn't want it as it changes damping as well from what I've seen which could introduce input lag for a wheel.

I thought only Germany ended tomorrow? Also, Egypt isn't in the Middle East, how are you participating?

Nope Middle east aswell, Yeah they don't list it, but last year they accepted my entry (eventually disqualified due to age restriction which has changed this year) so should be accepted again. No idea why it isn't officially listed, maybe because we have no seperate PSN.

Well, after nearly 2000 miles now with bloody, blistered hands, I'm throwing in the towel. :( I have had no improvement at all in the last 3 days and can barely keep up with my own ghost. It has become clear that my best time was just a fluke and nowhere near my skill level, which just proves to me that I have no business here trying to be a finalist. This has been a very humbling yet learning experience for me and just shows that I am miles away from even being close to realizing my dream. You all may see this as me giving up but that is not the case really. Common sense tells me that there is no way I am going to make up 2 seconds in the time we have left based off my performance so far. There comes a time when you just have to realize that certain things are just not possible, and this is one of those times. So, I will be going back to my weekly friendly competitions in the WRS TT's where I can further develop my skill set without the heavy pressure of competition. So, I bid the all a fond farewell and wish you all good luck in chasing down your goals, I really hope you all succeed. Even though it has been very frustrating this Academy, it has been a blast chasing down the top times and challenging myself....I have learned a lot from this. Good luck all.

This, exactly. And, even though it may read as such, I'm not trying to put people down, I'm trying to help you all realise that the laps you set were achieved purely based on skill, not some "trick". :)👍

I don't know about that, there is plenty of competition in the WRS TTs ;), I understand it does not have the amount of participants that GTA does, but some pretty good racers compete there.

Ok Patrick, what I meant was that there is not the intensity level like there is here due to what is at stake here. I know there are great racers that compete there and am in no way taking anything away from the WRS in terms of its participates. I can go there and compete, on a friendly basis, and learn at my own pace without the pressure of what we have here in having to push yourself beyond your personal limits in a short amount of time. I still have a lot to learn and still need a lot more practice and I think going back to the WRS is the best bet for me at this point and time. That is all I meant by my statement. It seems you have taken my statement out of context and saying that I was trying to take away the competitiveness of the WRS. That is not the case at all. I just need to go back and learn and practice more, that's all.
