What are they going to say? "Well, we're going to drop Goodyear and go with these guys, even though Goodyear has a contract that goes thru such and such year. We know this will screw us pretty bad and Goodyear is going to focus even less on making good tires, but oh well"
I really doubt discussion of them taking over from Goodyear eventually wasn't at the very least brought up casually. If it wasn't I don't think the Michelin people were doing their jobs very well.

I'd assume that Michelin would have to prove that their tire is better overall compared to Goodyear. Either that makes Goodyear step their tire builds up, or Michelin takes over.

Or it could have just been a meeting about the sportscar end of things.

Yeah.. it's not like he misjudged his gap to Danica's nose or anything like that...

Edit: As for the caution on the final lap, NASCAR wasn't going to throw it at all, but they saw the large pieces of car laying all over the racing surface so they had no choice but to throw the yellow.

#2 (long after the Danica contact), #48, #99 all simply spun out in the middle of the pack without warning. Sounds alot like a tire issue

Two got loose and the car stepped out from what seems to be him just being aero loose, he one car behind him closing up faster than he could adjust and other cars going around him thus taking his side draft/aero. The car behind him probably disturbed the air coming off the back and Brad wasn't ready. That or something in the rear broke but nothing from Penske says this.

If there is no tire issue then NASCAR needs to give them some of their rear wing back on the plate tracks

Michelin is NASCAR Euro primary supplier, so they do have a good rapport with each other. But you are right, if Michelin wants the contract after 2017 they will have to prove more than just what they have from the euro series.

Bit of a punt but I was just wondering if anyone's been to Pocono Raceway for a NASCAR event.

Going to see the Gobowling.com 400. The PitPass at Talladega was good but the FanZone Infield Pass at Daytona for the Sprint Unlimited was sensational. Just wondering what Pocono's was like. Thanks.

It's like going to a road course, but you see the cars a little more often

(Been to Watkins Glen and Pocono)

And now we wait...for that commercial with the onboard from David Ragan's car.

I'd be fine with it if FOX wasn't so blatant about the damn thing. Constantly cutting to the Aaron's car, talking up David Ragan the entire day. Fun fact: FOX barely talked about Ragan last year at Dega, and even after he won it didn't stop Chris Myers screwing the team's name up. I watch the race on Sunday and he's probably the most talked about guy on the broadcast.

But he's so beautiful:

Made the top 10.

So Danica qualified 9th :scared:

My reaction when I saw that:

I'm still thinking there's no way that can be right.

Looks like another rain delay this season is on the cards. :banghead:

EDIT: Looks okay at the moment, fingers crossed we can get all the race in without any rain. 👍

The imminent threat of rain should keep everyone driving hard the whole night. Look for a great race tonight.

This could be the funniest thing ever if one car has a lap on everyone.

Edit, especially since it's Brad. Maybe he can demand that no one race him hard, since they will all be a lap down.

They're all just gonna take a wave around because Brad has to pit.
