Good win Jeff, I'm still mad that the flame broiled turd ruined the battle for the win. Oh well, I should have known a good battle would be too much to expect from a race these days.

Good #90 for Jeff, that's is an absolutely incredible achievement.

I still wondered whether or not Montoya knew what the hell he was doing since he was stuck behind 20th the whole race.

Kasey sounding like a poor loser just a bit there. Jeff barely beat him to the line, but the green had already been out.
You would feel the same if you just watched your chase spot disappear to a teammate who has been safely in for months.

Anyone think that Jeff could possibly hit the 100 win mark before he retires?
It depends on when Chase Elliott gets moved up, I see Gordon getting 2 more this year, which means he has probably 3 years to get 8, which I could see him doing. If Chase gets moved up to part time next year, then no

Chase still has a few years before he's ready for the jump up to the Cup Series. The potential and talent are definitely there though.

AnthonyD1993 maybe. If he has a couple good years and Chase Elliot is willing to sit in Nationwide that long

EDIT: A good compromise would be if Kahne got the boot and Chase Elliot took Kahne's ride. Though I'd kinda prefer if that happened to Kyle Larson

If the Chase grid was set today, both Austin Dillon and Kyle Larson would be in. Six races to go and it's a very close points race at the bottom of the grid.

Well my day was ruined because of outside circumstances that could have been controlled, but they were ignored. Again. I missed the race because of it.

Great job by Gordon even though I didn't see a singke millisecond of the race because I got blown off. :irked:

If anyone gets a cup ride at Hendrick soon, it'll most likely be Elliott when Gordon retires. I just can't see any other situation that will bring someone to Hendrick.

Has anybody considered the possibility of Jr "leaving" Hendricks to drive for JR Motorsports in Cup with Chase also running for him if Gordon didn't want to retire soon.

That would give Hendrick a five car team and Chase would get his time to shine in Cup

If you want to get technical, Hendrick already has at least an 8 car team since SHR is all Hendrick cars.

Well since Jr Motorsports is basically Hendrick Motorsports with a fresh and hip new name, I figured if Jeff ever got the urge to stay longer than Hendrick expected and Kahne got his act together, and with Chase performing the way he is, I could see Hendrick needing to expand to a 5th car. The only way to do that would be sending Jr to JRM and bring chase with him. I know it's a longshot and probably will never really even be considered, but it's still possible.

But as of now it will just be Kasey getting the boot and Chase filling the seat.

Didn't Hendrick give Gordon partial ownership of the company in exchange for him spending his whole career as a Hendrick driver?
