It does, actually, and it could also in theory work with the above V8 Supercars plan if there is a slight delay in launch; though you also missed Ryan Blaney to help round out the schedule. This idea looks so rock solid that franky, Gibbs can have Edwards if it means Blaney/Montoya/Ambrose can have a go in the 12 car.
I didn't ;).
Ryan Blaney will be driving for Wood Brothers next year, in their usual 12 races part-time schedule (Daytona x2, Las Vegas, Texas x2, Talladega x2, Charlotte May, Michigan x2, Indy and Homestead).
A few hours/days after Bayne was announced at RFR full-time in the #6, WB started following R.Blaney on twitter, it's the only driver they are following.

Do you think Penske can be trusted when he says he won't field a full time #12 team?

Will Stewart also be an a Mobil 1 car?
as a secondary sponsor, Code 3 Associates will be his primary, black & yellow paint scheme 1/3rd of the page down:

It's a tribute to the car he started his Cup career in....

If you don't have a legitimate source for that info, then don't bother posting it like it's a fact.

All I'm seeing on the 41 is a sticker. Not much of a tribute in my book but it'll work.

Look at the white line and red line that wrap around the car that's the same. Look at the entire scheme of the car, the yellow and black are the same dimension and use and then the rest of the car is grey/green (for the 97). You have the small blocks or squares on the lower portion above the side skirts on both cars, and the number on each car is the same color as the front bumper color...

And that's just what I saw in about a minute at looking at it.

Overall design. The squares on the door and the line running to the back of the car. Different colors but same design.

Ah, there we go. Thanks guys. :)

Why else would Wood Brothers Racing have RB as the only driver they follow on twitter ? they don't even follow Bayne, their current driver!

Why did it happen right after Bayne was confirmed in Cup full time for 2015 (May 25th) ?

Add 2 and 2... 💡 = Ryan Blaney full time in Nationwide and part-time Cup next year. He already a) runs with Ford b) proved his worth in Trucks and c) ran or will run two Cup races this season.

It's a smart move for WBR to get a younger, possibly more talented, driver to replace the 23 years young Trevor Bayne, instead of going to a Hornish, Reutimann (his 2 wins came at 2 tracks WBR run at), Bobby Labonte, etc...

Is Blaney being a Penske guy while WBR is partners with RFR the issue (doesn't Ford have anything to say? TP is clearly above RFR this year, perhaps WBR should switch alliances between Ford teams) ?

where did you find the pic?

Twitter is not a legitimate source.

legitimate? pic shows Official Twitter of Wood Brothers Racing. OFFICIAL... 35,700 persons disagree with your idea of legitimacy.

source? there cannot be a better one than WBR themselves!

Tell me no contract is signed or announced yet, yeah, but not that Twitter isn't a "legitimate source" in this case.

What's up with the straws pic

@LMSCorvetteGT2
I don't see how it's relevant (or your business, really, but I gave an idea about it in this thread, I'm older than GTPorsche). If a kid says the grass is green, it doesn't make it less true.

He could be saying a few things

Either you're grasping at straws or pick a straw, or you're running a straw man theory. I think it's the second one but all seem to fit what he may be trying to say to you.

In other words you don't have an idea of what you're saying and thus your guess is as good as anyone. At least that's how it reads to me.

Also if you don't mind me asking how old are you?

Twitter, of course.

They should have made the wheels silver (body color), since the John Deere car had green wheels.

Oddly enough, since Dover is race #3 in the Chase, Kurt will also have the car number on top of the car in yellow, just like on the 97 car.

I don't think they've had any infractions, and I'm not sure what P5 is code for.

It's for a violation involving the plates that are suppose to close off the rear firewall of the car to protect the driver from fluids and fumes getting inside the car. Without the mandated plates, it can alter airflow through the car and provide more downforce.

Also, if it wasn't a post-race violation, it would have been 25 points less and $50,000 less than it was.

Not sure if it's been discussed already, but apparently Stewart-Haas is gonna hold an open tryout for pit crew spots at their shop on August 12th. Now, I know that Harvick was dealing with his crew fouling up something on almost every stop early this season, but is it really so bad that they have to call open tryouts?

Depends on how bad they want to win the championship this year. Kurt and Kevin have a shot (especially that latter it seems) and this may be the only way to get new talent. I mean I doubt any other championship potential team is going to give up members of their crew this late in the season. HMS have done this before.

It's completely normal for the race teams to hold open tryouts each year. Hendrick does it yearly, MWR as well. Others probably due but it's not usually publicized. Nothing to do with pitcrew performances either. It's just to see if there are new guys they can bring into the sport on the pitlane side of things.

Unrelated....

What was this for again? I knew he was being investigated

NASCAR has confiscated parts from the Joe Gibbs Toyota that carried Denny Hamlin to third in Sunday's Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis to investigate a possible technical breach.

Series spokesperson Kerry Tharp told NASCAR.com that there were "possible issues with several rear firewall block-off plates" on Hamlin's Camry. The plates are designed to serve as a driver protection device by shielding them from fluids or fumes, however if they become detached during the race they can potentially increase downforce by influencing the airflow from inside the car.

Rule 20-3.4.5 of the NASCAR regulations states:

"Block-off plates/covers used in rear firewalls in place of blowers, oil coolers, etc, must be constructed of 22 gage (0.031 inch thick) magnetic sheet steel. Block-off plates/covers must be installed with positive fasteners and sealed to prevent air leakage.

"Carbon fiber or aluminum block-off plates/covers will not be permitted."

You think points penalties really matter? And it's not like Denny Hamlin will do any worse, there's a number instances of these 'bounce-backs' after a crew and/or car chief is suspended.
