Ah. Well it would make things a little "off" for the Americans trying to easily sort out if they are getting close to the cut off (like me :nervous:)

Dude you're fast don't worry, I'm worried that you might pull a faster time than me these coming days lol.

Oh man, I was sure I would be pushed way out of the top 50, but here I am. I also have Friday off, with the fiancee at work. Time to grind.

It's amazing being close to and even faster than some of the guys I've been reading posts from for the past few years. Love ya'll.

Thanks @Neovre, I ran about 15 laps Monday, set 5 2:16.7xx-2:16.9xx in a row which makes me feel happy that I can nearly match my fastest pace but I would have felt a bit better if I bested it, haha! I am hoping to get a bit more seat time to try and knock my time down a bit sometime this week..

Had a big interview with Nike yesterday, went well which I am pretty happy with (just like the Academy so far)!! I have been spending a lot of time working on my cardio, trying to get physically and mentally stronger for the (hopeful) finals. I've always been a "bigger" but athletic guy, graduating high school @ 210 lbs - basketball and baseball player. Currently down to 206, and not in too bad of shape I suppose....

Hope to see you in New York!

Cheers,

Don

There appears to be a small bubble of talent hiding in Oregon, no? Last year's guy was from Salem, I believe? You're really fast, and I believe I may have JUST been pushed out of the top 28, but I am not sure - and I'm in Beaverton.

Oh snap. I didn't realize that you were from Oregon. Yes, last years winner was from Oregon, the guy that was in third place @ Silverstone last year was also from Oregon (Marstellar). I believe that Heikotter was also from Oregon - but if that is incorrect he was at least from the west coast... You are currently still in a national finals spot, hope we both get to go bud! It would be nice to have another pair of Oregonians going at least to NY and represent again for :gtpflag:

Oh snap is right! I didn't know anything about Marstellar, that's fantastic. I think Heitkotter at least spends time up here - my good friend knows him.

Good luck with that Nike job, I work about 1 mile away from the world headquarters - it's a beautiful area.

I'm looking forward to the chats in the airport bar as much as representing with you in New York!

EDIT: @scca_ziptie - Ha! That's so true. Everyone here LOVES to drive under the speed limit, and we get 9 months of driving in the rain every year, hahaha.

BTW, I have been wondering, I have lost a couple of my friends' ghost line at the beginning of this week, one of the present ones ran weird line that crashed into the barriers yet he is faster than me on the leaderboard.

Which barrier? Like the wall after LaSource? Seems to invalidate if I touch the wall with any force there. Still have the friends on your list? If so, maybe PD has been reviewing laps and invalidating them...?

This round has been a lot of fun. I'm going to have to keep working hard if I want to make it to Nationals
Nice time, I see you matched mine to the thousandth. Kinda wish you wouldn't have done that....

Believe it or not, I actually got that exact same time twice now. the odds seem so slim, I wonder if it means anything.

Hopefully for us, it's not the time that will be just outside the final transfer spot!

Question for everyone out there: I keep seeing people talk about how many miles they have logged - is there some place that shows/records this? Thanks.

It shows on the odometer but resets itself after each session so you have to keep track of how many miles you've driven after each session and keep adding on each session after that. That's how I have been doing it anyway.

Copy. Those are in KM for the record, in case you didn't know..

It looks almost entirely a different lap than the one he set the time for. And for the guys who's lines disappeared, they are still on my friend's list and also has a time on the friend leaderboard as well as other leaderboards.

Innnnnnnnnnnnnnteresting..... Who is it / who are they?

I'm also curious how you got this to switch, as I have all my stuff set to miles but if you do one lap of Spa, the odometer (at least on mine) reads 7 after one lap even though the track is 4.352 miles in length.

Thank you!

Yea, my apologies as I just figured this out. I just always thought that because the speedo read in mph that the odometer would also read in miles, which makes sense to me. I mean, why have your speedo read US and then have your odometer read metric, that just doesn't make sense. I was just always under the impression that if your speedo read in mph that your odometer would also read in miles, not kilometers. Everything else in the Stats section is measured in miles. Just another idiotic thing on PD's part I guess. I've never driven a car IRL that mixed the two conversions like that. Anyways, my apologies to you in saying/thinking you were wrong, it was me who was wrong. :embarrassed:

@dgaf95integra That's total miles driven at a specific (favorite) track, not just miles from the Academy, unless you have never driven that track (Spa) at all before.

It was the exact same thing in GT3 and GT4 as well. I guess they have it like that for tradition?
