Was he not active on the forums? Like...months later he never resurfaced? Is he alive?!
If I recall correctly last year there were severe storms up and down the east cost. A lot of people's flights were delayed (mine got pushed back like 3 hours) because of the storms. I believe, but I could be wrong here, that his flight ended up getting delayed repeatedly and ultimately pushed back to the next day, but he never communicated his flight was moved to GT Academy organizers, even though they were more than willing to get him in somehow by the start of competition.

I could be completely wrong on that, but I think that's the reason that ended up being explained to us, or got around to us as to why he didn't show.

Time for my lame speech that I also gave out last year to the Finalists:

Gentlemen, tomorrow will be start of something special. You will embark on a journey that you will always remember, filled with moments of joy along with some disappointment. Whatever happens, just remember that you have already won. Out of so many people, you are among the fastest virtual drivers in your respective country. Nothing or nobody can take that away from you.

Drive on!

Oh stop it. :embarrassed: you are really making me nervous now.:nervous:

Good luck all! Go and have fun, give it your all, and enjoy yourself! Most of you won't become pro racers, but these events in themselves are really quite cool and something to be proud of.
