Looking at the VLN table, with only one round to go, P24 have a fairly firm grip on the coveted 'Pole Position' (no pun intended!) for the GTPN24, but there is a five way battle for the other front row grid spot.

Game on!

Sorry for not being around to much been super busy with real life stuff.... back now for a while so i will try and get all the house keeping out the way ASAP

Calling all AM teams... We are looking to do some support races before the N24 starts on the 22nd of feb... Let me know if you are interested, would be great to have a full grid of cars for the support races

That's a great idea and a chance for the Am teams who have supported VLN to have a taste of the action on the undercard of the GTPN24. I believe the intention will be use the same Livestream service as will be on for the main event to get any outside viewers warmed up for the main event.

We'd hope it will also serve to further encourage Am teams to start planning how they can become full Pro Teams for 2015 :)

Yeah good one there Matt! I think we'll have to go through some of those rules in the drivers briefing though to be sure everyone understands how all the stop and gos and disconnect-rules works.

and this:

"To Be Confirmed - Grid Qualifying on GT6 in February
Once the N24 CSS is complete and the qualifiers for the N24 are know, we
are considering a 90 minute qualifying shoot out where each teams fastest
participate in an ‘open qualifying session’ to determine grid positions for the
N24 race. One spectator spot per team will be permitted during this session, and
live streaming of the session is being considered. Although Grid Positions for a
24 hours endure are not as important as in a sprint race, it would provide some
competitive fun and if marketed right, raise interest and awareness ahead of the
N24 race. More details of this will emerge once the new social capabilities of GT6
are fully known."

It talks about after CSS and stuff so I'm confused if this is something old that have just carried over or if you actually planning to do some sort of quali, instead of using the results from the VLN?

It also keeps mentioning 7 teams although we're already eight and aiming for more.

I will admit its still a working progress, will get it all finished asap

Yes, a good part of that was written some time ago and things have evolved since.

1. The GTPN24 'qualifying' idea has been superseded by the Grid being determined by Team finishing positions after the final round of the VLN Series.
2. The original reason for having a limit of 7 teams was to allow for all teams to have a 2nd PS3 logged in as Spectator mode for access to a timing screen. We've now decided to allow up to 12 teams to compete because we should have 2 Livestreams running throughout the event, one of which will be fixed on the Timing Screen for all teams (and anyone else spectating) to be able to follow on a PC/Laptop. There will also be two spots in the room for 'live stewards'.

Still awaiting confirmation from Shane / STM that they have created a unique PSN ID ready for the big race. I believe you were aiming to do so before Xmas Shane. Did you?

Looking pretty forward to driving the Audi at night in R3, it's going to be fun. Also 1.03 has apparently improved the stability even more so I'm feeling very confident after wrapping up the AM division.

Just thought I'd make this a little simpler for all. Please use this post to copy, paste, and add your name to if you are interested in participating in the support races (now in Megane Trophy '11) on the morning of the GTPN24 (22nd Feb).

So far I believe we have the following:-

what about for the 24? do we need to do a VLN race to enter?

Yes, to enter the full N24 you, and ideally your team mates, need to have contested at least one round of the VLN. You'll also need to be able to race from the same location from one PS3 for the 24h if you're planning on entering.
