Yes welcome to the series and as Niko just said, you have to wait for your turn to choose your car. Check the end of the OP by memto, and the start of the 2nd post by me for the date schedule of when teams will pick (and which cars have been picked already). This was decided by a previous race series ( the Car Selection Series or 'CSS').

At present you will have 3rd pick of the Am teams and your turn will be next Monday 30th Dec. Currently there is still one Audi, one Mercedes, two BMW M3 and three Nissan GTR left to choose from so you may well be lucky and get the GTR that you want. In the meantime it may be wise to have a backup plan and try other cars ;)

Also: I haven't run the 'ring at night on GT6, but this video really shows how unrealistic the lighting was at the 'Ring in GT5. I'm not expecting all of the lights on the side of the track, but the cars' headlights themselves didn't illuminate the track nearly as much as a real-life race car, with its extra light bars would. I hope that's fixed in GT6.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how much more realistic the night racing is. Car headlight illumination is much better and brighter, but with that comes extra 'dazzle' when the headlights shine on reflective surfaces.

As Matt says, for Mt Panorama use one of the cars that is still left on Saturday. I'm guessing THAR may well declare their choice early with the amount of testing Nin has done, but if not use what is left as still available but be prepared that you may have to hop into one of the other free cars for VLN R2

Hi sorry guys for stupid questions but I'm new for this event and just can't find answers on page or I'm just simply blind.
Can I use tcs and abs for vln and which tyres? Our team still waiting for car but in the mean time I can try cars which are not picked up yet. Thank you
 
You can use tcs and abs if you like and tires are the ones shown in the OP, racing soft and medium, inters and full rain.

If you're missing info a tip is to press de red links in the OP if you have missed them.

numbered my car number 12. lol. I don't trust my codriver Honda for anything better. Lol. I have a feeling none of us will get in the top 6 in any race though lol.
 
ABRs fastest official time as of now(2nd lap RS tires) 8:33.267. I know of 3 mistakes I did, cost me about .35, 2.5-3, and.2 so I am capable of an 8:28 or 8:29. Adrian I don't know he's time... Honda... He needs help... Lol

Edit. Wait are the round on type V? If so my new time is 8:12.3 lol and that was just one lap

House keeping:

AM Teams

There has been a few new AM teams pop up over christmas. You guys need to PM me with the details of your team, Make sure you have read through the OP (all images are hyperlinked) and make sure you understand that this is qualifying for the N24 and AM teams are only here are grid fillers.

1. If a New pro team comes along and the 12 spaces are filled, one AM team will be removed, it will be the last AM team to sign up.
2. Races are not won on the first lap, Do no cause incidents which results in Pro teams being caught up in it.
3. Make sure you do exactly what you are told by the person hosting your lobby. Failure to do so will result in the removal of your team.
4. Rage quitting is not an option for these races, its an endurance race and sometimes you have a bad race, deal with it and do not rage quit.

If you feel you can deliver on these terms then PM me with details of your team and we will add you to the ranks and add you to the official sign up list for cars.

Pro Teams

1. Races are not won on the first lap, Do no cause incidents which results in Pro teams being caught up in it.
2. After choosing your cars make sure your team are aware of your choice and your paint scheme/numbers etc we are now entering the more serious side of this series.

Everyone

1. Once you have chosen your car please can you take an individual picture of your racing gear and car together (in the same picture) with your team car/colour/number. This will all go towards the teams bio on the OP.
2. If you are not already then please make sure you have liked the links for the series and spread the word.

Gadget333/334 has organised the last "fun" race before the N24 itself, Make sure your signed up for it if you are not already. It will be on the 28th of december. After that it will only be official test sessions and races.

Please make sure you read through these messages!!!!!

I don't care ultimately, but the VLN does race the Type V layout normally and the ADAC Zurich once a year race is the only 24hrs race that races the full 24Hrs of Nurburgring layout. We have been running the full 24 so I wouldn't change a thing now.

THAR would like to announce that we shall be taking the very last GTR in the VLN, what colours and versions are not yet decided.

EDIT:THAR will be taking the base model GTR, a livery has also been brought back to life, pictures and unveiling shall come soon.
