2014 William FW36 my eyes no longer hurt Thanks Martini

Why on earth would Martini choose a team like Williams to back?

I just can't see it myself.

Red Bull wouldn't be ideal.
McLaren aren't having a title sponsor this year and as many have said they're likely to hook up with Sony in '15.
Ferrari have a million sponsors anway.
Lotus have been in a bit of financial trouble as of late so wouldn't be that wise.

Williams have been regrouping and hiring new staff to work there way up the grid, makes most logical sense with them being a team with winning heritage.

It's not so bad imo. This is only a preview picture, I'm sure it will look much better on presentation day.

I don't hate it, it's not any worse than most of the F1 cars churned out over the last decade.

Neither. The reports seem to be coming out of Brazil, but they have been bouncing around for a while now. Oddly, Joe Saward ran a piece on it on his blog, and he hates the whole "if Google says it, then it must be true" approach.

It's not that bad. At the very least, it is considerably better than the platypus noses of 2012.
Nor is it as bad as the early mock-ups released by Red Bull, which made the extended nose look like a carbon fibre appendage added at the last minute - which I suspect was deliberate, so as to trigger maximum revulsion.
And I keep hearing a weird rumour that Martini will be Williams' title sponsor.

Lol no. These noses look ten times worse than the "Platypus" noses.

Doesn't look like too much has changed apart from what they've had to adapt to the regulation changes (front wing, nose, bigger sidepods for cooling and differences around the rear).

Got a feeling that's not the Williams we'll be seeing in the first test.

Yeah exactly.

Not nearly as ugly as I thought it was going to be, but still looks off to me.

Williams don't look as if they have many sponsors, do they?
