http://media.caranddriver.com/files/1999-ford-mustang-svt-cobra1999-ford-mustang-svt-cobra-2.pdfI'd expect the Ecoboost turbo's weight distribution to be pretty good. That tiny engine (aluminum block?) with the added weight of IRS in the rear will hopefully add balance to a car that has been nearly 60/40 since the Fox body.
There's no turbo sound in that exhaust at all. That's virtually impossible to hide.Doesn't sound like a V8 to me. If it is, it's a V8 with 180 degree headers. Though I can't imagine a 4 cylinder mustang needing tires that big.
It's probably going to be lighter overall because the suspension arms, differential and mounts will all be aluminum. That's not the case with the live axle. When you consider how heavy the IRS unit is over the live axle, I'd say 55/45 is more realistic.
Of course this is pure speculation. We won't know for a while.

The data? Ok.Believe what you want.
That's what I was thinking. Didn't really sound like an I4 or a V8.Sounds like a very raspy V6 to me.
With this discussion on what RON fuel the Mustang will take, It's always struck me as odd that in Europe our standard fuel is 95 RON, while the standard fuel in America is 87 RON. Why don't you get a higher octane rating as standard? It would certainly get rid of issues like this and petrol would still be dirt cheap.
Mustang's trunk is big enough. But have you seen the sizes of trunks these days? They're ENORMOUS. lol. That's why I joked about it. The Camaro is absolutely pathetic though. Still a huge trunk but the opening is like a port hole.
Oh snap I would love to see that commercial.So. Just seen the Mustang advertised on British TV for the first time. **** just got real 👍

Nothing new in that article that I can see. Power figures are the exact same "estimates" we have known since the original reveal.Power figures, order options and what not in Fords press release.

Ya wouldn't be surprised if the power figures don't change. I think we'll see updated power in 2016, sort of like how the 2010 redesign pretty much carried over the motors from 05-09 and then they brought new motors in 2011.If they haven't announced them by this point they must be pretty close to what they actually are.
