2021 turned out to be the Mustang's worst sales year ever recorded, with a mere 52,400 Mustangs sold in the US. For comparison, 54,300 Challengers were sold last year while 21,900 Camaros were sold.

Though it should be noted that Ford doesn't have the "please just get it off our lot" financing options that Dodge does, and pretty much every Ford dealer I've looked into only seems to stock the GT or higher trim, which is about 6-7k more expensive than the SXT Challenger that's been flooding the landscape.

Also, they've already sold so many Mustangs that basically everybody has a Mustang already. This isn't really a problem for Ford overall as they've got huge plans all across the market and plenty of ways to shore up sales. It's a big problem for Chrysler because the Challenger and family are 30-year old cash cows that they need to sell as many of as possible.

Isn't that site abit dodgey when it comes to automotive news? Given the information about how desperate Dodge has been to even get their cars sold, that article comes off as abit clickbait just for traffic generation.

Carscoops us usually good for news, but they do like to hype things up to click bait levels and its annoying. They are also very anti-Tesla.
