^^^ Aftermarket will take care of that in no time.
According to the official numbers released by the Dearborn automaker, the 5.2-liter, supercharged V8 produces a whopping 760 horsepower and 625 pound-feet (847 Nm) of torque on premium fuel. As a result, it’s also “the most power- and torque-dense supercharged production V8 in the world”, according to Ford.
Someone will.It would be great if they could put that engine into the GT supercar, but I doubt they’ll do it.
Someone will.
While only limited information is being made public prior to the first car breaking cover, an 850bhp output has been touted.
The engine modifications will highlight the Johnson-edition upgrade pack, with the cars currently in build at Herrod Motorsport.
Just 30 will be made, available only in black or white, with the full allocation already sold out and the first expected to be delivered to customers within weeks.
It makes the car go faster!!!9400$ for stripes?
That entire section seems like a large equipment ootion list. The stripe must carry over across to other things I'm betting.
In showrooms from November, the MY20 Mustang is headlined by the availability of the $1000 Black Shadow Pack, which is exclusive to the GT Fastback V8 coupe variants.
Specifically, it bundles in a black finish for the Mustang GT Fastback’s ‘Pony’ grille badge, ‘5.0L’ guard badging and roof, while black bonnet and side strips are also included alongside a set of dark-finish 19-inch alloy wheels with a unique 10-spoke design.
For those Mustang GT Fastback buyers that also opt for the $750 High-Rise rear spoiler, it too will have a black finish.
Meanwhile, four new paintwork options will also enter the fray, with heritage-inspired Grabber Lime the headline act. The last Grabber hue to be offered in Australia was Grabber Blue on the MY16 Mustang.
However, the Grabber lineage stretches as far back as the early 1970s in the US, serving as inspiration for the creation of Grabber Lime.
“It’s lime green on steroids,” said Ford Motor Company colour and materials manager Barb Whalen. “This colour traces back to a Mustang heritage colour while bringing it forward with more modern, dynamic pigments and bold new energy.”
Another colour steeped in history, Twister Orange, will be available with the MY20 Mustang, as will Iconic Silver and Red Hot.
I remember the days when the Mustang stuck with 15x7s for years. Even when the SVO came out with 16x7, the Mustang GT still had the smaller wheels and tires. This so cool. While the current four-cylinder Mustang has identical 9.0-inch-wide tyres all round, the new version gets a staggered tyre arrangement like the GT, with nine-inchers at the front and 9.5s at the back.
The car is fitted with Tickford’s ‘400 Power Pack’ ECU tune, lifting outputs from the standard Mustang GT’s 339kW/556Nm to 375kW at 6125rpm and 620Nm at 4635rpm, the maximum Tickford offers in naturally-aspirated form in cars fitted with the 10-speed auto.
Tickford’s suspension upgrade includes H&R dampers and a 25mm ride height drop, giving the car an aggressive stance in conjunction with a new seven-spoke wheel and tyre package, 20 x 10.0-inch fronts and 20 x 11.0-inch rears wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyres measuring 275/35 front and 295/35 rear.
We may not be able to get the Shelby GT500 or GT350 down here (as written in the article) right now but we can still get some of them, the 800hp Supersnake for example.
I could do that job...
So remember all of that hand wringing about the Mach 1 going electric?
Yeah, all for naught.
