So remember all of that hand wringing about the Mach 1 going electric?

Yeah, all for naught.
Considering Ford acquiesced by cynically slapping the Mustang name itself on a crossover instead, I'm not sure "all for naught" is the best way to sum it up so much as "won the battle but lost the war."

Sad as it was the most interesting Mustang in years. They should have given it the GT500 DCT as a final-year option - makes sense with the revvy nature of the engine.

I want ford to pull a GM and make a Mustang (maybe not the Mustang) with an MR configuration - a hybrid 4 cylinder would be great! But make it small and light like the original concept.

Of course it won't happen, but it would be awesome if it did!

Mustangs are crowd seeking missiles now. Can you imagine how bad it would be with an MR Mustang that's, arguable, more difficult to control for the average driver? There wouldn't be a car show in America that would be safe from that.

Why in the world would they butcher a GT350 for that? They could’ve started with an EgoBoost 2L Mustang, and used all the leftover cash to build a track-ready suspension for it and then some.
You missed this:

Hence the inline-6 I posted above. Oil filter rattled loose on track, stock engine went up in flames. Replaced with a Ford Barra 4.0L I-6.

Adam LZ is tasteless, that's why.

It was already totalled/blown engine IIRC.

I'll disagree on this one. Had a chance to do something unique and went for it. Tasteless would have been a 2JZ swap.
True, true. At least it was a Ford engine. I gotta admit it's a cool swap, I just personally don't like Adam LZ lol.
