You are trying incredibly too hard right now.

Take a look in the mirror. You're the one trying incredibly hard to make people believe you in an unreasonable manner. Face it, you have no one agreeing with you. Drop the subject.

...huh?

I've stated multiple times you can take it or leave it. This bandwagon is the one who keeps bringing it up. Where were half of these people prior to the information I shared pages ago?

Exactly. You drop it.

You don't see me begging anyone to believe me. Some of you are just ridiculous, and are trying really hard to get some E-Points, or something.

And I'm sure, here comes the "No, you are dumb, drop it! No Proof" comments right after this one. Again.

And for the record, at least one person thus far did agree with me;

This is true.

My guess is all this information is protected by NDAs. Whether the statement that you made is true or not (no judgement on that one), I know I would be incredibly pissed if someone I told stuff to in confidence is even telling others that they know stuff protected under NDAs, regardless of whether actual protected information is disclosed.

That's true. Which is why I'm done speaking on it.

Comes to Ford thread to talk about Mustangs, ends up reading Deathsmiles attempting to have fun.

lol

It happens all the time. I know people that work at Chrysler that tell me all sorts of things. They always tell me if anything was ever said they'd just deny it since there isn't really any evidence to link it to them unless I purposely say John Smith, an electrical engineer at Chrysler, said the next Viper will have a 17.0L V24 with quad-turbos.

How do you think auto news sites get so much info? There's someone on the inside feeding it to them and as long as there aren't pictures the companies don't make a ton of fuss about it because it doesn't give much away.

Btw, I meant to say how crazy this comment was. "It's not official, until it's on Jalopnik".

At what point did I say that? I gave an example of someone on the internet claiming well in advance what a tightlipped car design would be. They backed it up with pictures. If you were truly capable of doing that, you would've already.

I'm going to have fun handing out infractions if the crap is not cut.

I don't have images of how I was told Ford designs their cars. lol You think we spoke with one another with press live blogging it? It was over breakfast in the kitchen.

Whatever you are smoking, I want some. Just make sure we do the transaction in a state where it's now legal.

One person says they know someone and everyone has to have a god damn hissy fit over it...Big 🤬 whoop. Seriously, who cares.

Yeah, the last few pages have abit unnecessary. Kinda been checking in here expecting any latest info on this car and instead its the usual "Pics or GTFO" argument.

And that was necessary to post because...?

Because last time I brought up 4cyl Mustangs (and tried to make a crack about bronies), everyone was already too busy arguing about... what I don't even know. Whether some guy's posts were believable or not, I guess.

Might as well help bring the thread closer to home. By mentioning the Mustang II II they're apparently going to build.

Kinda noticed that already hence why I posted what I posted, hoping maybe someone would actually contribute to the discussion instead of the "scorn the hell out of the faux messenger" movement.

There are a lot of people seriously scared to see what Ford is going to put out....a quick search will show that. I'm also in this boat.

Good read here:

The only people scared are the ones that think car design should stay stuck in the past and have zero clue about the modern automotive industry. The Mustang right now isn't a bad car, but with a proper suspension, less weight and better engine choices it will be a competitive sports car. Ford's not stupid, they understand there's a need for a smaller, more modern Mustang with more up-to-date engines in it.

Ford's main target with the retro Mustang is getting to the point where they are getting to old to really want a sporty car. The guys who were in their 20's and 30's back in the 60's and 70's are in their 50's, 60's and 70's now. A majority of those people want something more comfortable to ride around in. Ford has to be forward thinking and get people in their 20's and 30's today to start buying the car, otherwise the Mustang will just become a niche car instead of a mass produced sporty car.

And I took one look at the site and saw "Libertarian Politics" and nope'd right out of there.

It's sad because my initial post which jump started that very movement (which a Mod got in on, before saying he'd give people infractions over the very thing he joined in on) was totally related to the thread's subject, whether it was to be believed or not. Like many a tidbit.

I don't know wtf happened, actually.

After skimming the article the author seems to think the 2015 Mustang will be FWD and thinks only rich people in Euro own V8's. I think the author is a bit ignorant of this thing called the automotive industry.

I mean the test mules have all been RWD, so how he came up with it being FWD because of Europe makes no sense. I mean I think there are probably more RWD European cars on the market today than RWD American ones.

That was my initial impression as well.

Just so we're clear, that article actually did compare the Mustang with a 1.6L diesel Jetta, right?

That article is so poorly written, I wouldn't take anything said within it as important. Yes, Ford has made it clear their intentions for the next Mustang are to keep it in line with the "One Ford" global strategy, but that means ensuring the next platform can easily accommodate different markets, not a switch to front-drive. Sports cars are indeed still a thing (and not just bought by Gen X'ers, a hilarious statement in itself) - look at the 350/370Z, or the Genesis Coupe.

Joey's right; if anything, Europe is keeping rear-drivers alive.
