Whilst there's only scraps and honour left to play for this season, Mexico showed that entertaining races can still happen. And now we move onto a fan favourite down in Sao Paulo.

2014 Result
1: Nico Rosberg (Mercedes)
2: Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes)
3: Felipe Massa (Williams-Mercedes)

Am I right in believing the pit and paddock facilities have been completely rebuilt for this year? I remember some talk about it a few years back, and that it was happening for this year; but it's fallen suspiciously quiet.

No, that got delayed. Full rebuild is for 2016. They're just renovated this year, mostly the hospitality areas but they're a bit behind. Incomplete, is the word journalists have used.

Still, an improvement on what they used to have:

There's still a lot of work left to do, but apparently, Bernie is very happy with the changes thus far, and he thinks others will be impressed.

I believe the reconfiguration of the pit lane entry is complete and will be used this year.

Wasn't that last year? :odd:

From what I heard and readed around, São Paulo's mayor Fernando Haddad said that there won't backstretch pits like it was said back when all the rumours for this renovation started. What he said is that it didn't make sense changing the location of the pits.

I could be wrong guys.

Yes they scrapped the idea to move them to the other straight, they're just going to be rebuilt/renovated in the original location.

I always found this track to be fun in video games. I love turns 13-15 the most. I will definitely be watching this on TV when it airs.
While I agree that it is great, I found much more satisfaction in getting turns 6-8 right than 'turns' 13-15. Has there ever been a car on that circuit that couldn't take that full throttle?

Also one of the few who still have something left to fight for. Lotus still have to dish it out with STR for 5th place.

...so, basically the F1 World Champ just hit a parked car.........

Pretty sure it's Nico's fault, somehow.

But seriously, if his fever is that distracting, chances are he won't be in prime condition for practice yet.

So looking forward to this race. So many driver pairings with grudges and/or points fights going on in these last two rounds. I'm hoping that both Rosberg and Vettel hold it together to make for an interesting fight up front. Hell, if Lewis is sick, let him sit it out so we can have a halfway interesting fight for the lead. :D

Expecting action up and down the field, as well. Well... hoping, at least, that it will happen. Either way, this is one race I don't want to miss.
