If anyone fancies an unofficial free practice session this evening at 17:00 EDT (UTC -4) for the upcoming race at Twin Ring Motegi please like this post or let your interest be known. I'd like to have at least 4 for a room tonight, GT500s and GT300s welcome, multiple team cars allowed unless room needs to be made for other franchises.

EDIT: Only two people interested, so there will not be a room. Sorry guys, maybe another day!

Am I reading the new rules in 3.4 correctly, in that, lap compensation is only started AFTER the moment of disconnect, negating the previous laps since the last pitstop?
This pretty much makes it certain that a disconnect puts you out of the race for good.

Not exactly. Lap compensation starts from the last point in which you took a stint photo. As these are normally during a pitstop thats the point in which AJ starts his calculations. If you run a screen capture or something similar you could go back and screenshot the exact moment of disconnect. Means less laps will need to be accounted for and less time lost...

The 3.8 section which used to cover lap compensation is now part of 3.4.
I guess the way it is written now indicates that instead of "time lost is filled by 1 lap at 60km/h then laps at 107%", the rules indicate that "the lap you were on is taken as 60km/h, and the previous laps are back filled at 107%". So there is no change in the way laps are compensated, glad I just read it wrong.
The change in wording also indicates that from the time you left the circuit to the time you can rejoin is the "Y" value of a lap at 60km/h. If I'm not wrong that can have the effect of forcing you to spend a longer amount of time collecting laps at 107% instead of getting back on track (assuming you can get back to the lobby in under the "Y" value).

I'm interested in driving for a GT300 team for the London 12H and SPA 24H.
I am a Platinum rated driver
4 race wins with 7 podiums in 8 race events.

Working on making some "Team Cars" for entrants of the GTP Endurance Series, over on Forza Motorsport, and this set here is the Hyperion racing team's GT4 car, the BMW M3 ChromeLine. I hope that everyone likes it! Picture 56.jpg Picture 57.jpg Picture 58.jpg Picture 59.jpg Picture 60.jpg Picture 61.jpg

After Swift's post regarding need for GT300 drivers seems like people are starting to look to Brands and Spa.
Again expressing my interest to run for a GT300 team in the London 12 hour and the Spa 24 hours as a Gold rated driver.

He's a fast one.

AJ should open a separate thread, call it the Driver's Market! :P I'm happy with all my teams currently until the end of the season :D Speaking of which, has there been any talk of a Season 2 of GTPES?
I just posted in a team discussion a few hours ago that I'm considering team manager for next season. Team name would be monochrome, and all the cars will be in black and white, lol. Oohhh...

If GT7 is released, do we all skip over to the new game mid season?

I would stay on ps3 as you would probably get the most drivers

Hmm, not so sure..... GT6 is fairly old and im sure 80% by now have a PS4 and would be more than happy to leap to a new game with better everything. *In theory at least* Lobby connections, load times for driver changes, more accurate live timing and replay scoring etc etc :)

If season 2 is on Project Cars i wouldnt be happy
