Sorry for the double post but this is a separate subject. I was just looking at the schedule and I don't see Indy on there ... is that right, and what happened?

Some footage from this weekend's Roar Before the 24:

And for those who love time lapse like I do:

Interesting things to notice:

- The Deltawing seems to be running both with and without that little triangular piece on the fin. It also appears to be quick enough to actually keep up with the DPs and P2s.

- The BMW-powered Rileys appear to have been updated with side exhausts, which has given the Dinen power abit moar of a richer sound.

- The Ecoboost V6s sound abit nastier this time around, definately more easy to tell them apart from the HPDs.

- Interestingly, the Ferrari 458s are the only cars in GTD not equipped with wider width Wings. The R8s have it, the Vipers have it, the Vantage V12s have it, the Z4 has it and even the narrow 911 GT3 Americas have it but not the 458

How easy is it to get paddock access at the TUSC events? I've been thinking about going to Belle Isle for one of the events, but I wanted to know how easy it is to access the pits as a fan. My dad and I go to the NHRA Summit Nationals (partially cause of cheap tickets) but mainly because of the atmosphere. After going there, my dad said that he probably wouldn't be going to any other auto racing event that doesn't have easy access to the pits.

I was at Road Atlanta this past year and the paddock access is very similar to the NHRA. I got very close to the RLL BMWs and the Corvettes while they're going though tech inspections on the first day.

They don't have to as per the latest BOP.

Went to the Rolex and Petit last season and they're still wide open for access especially the Conti guys.

As stated earlier the paddock is all access all the time but pits are not open for the general public.

The only way to the pit road is during the fan walk just before the race.

I will be at LRP and the Glen again this year.

From the Glen last year during the fan walk.

Luckily, the timing works for me as it'll allow me to watch toonami AND the race at the same time.

Last year I used an app to watch on my tablet during the downtime. I think it's called justin.tv if memory serves. It actually worked pretty well.

That website and it's apps aren't in service anymore. Got integrated into twitch.tv since they bought them.

Most likely won't. It's not gaming related.
Do you mean racing/sports related? Clearly I have no idea about twitch. Bummer though - I think I spent a few bucks on that app last year just so I could watch the race. Oh well.

Edit: I thought you were talking about the event, but maybe you meant the service. My bad if so. :embarrassed:

I found out today I have the 24th and 25th off, which is surprising as I usually work on Sundays.:D

So if I can time my nap for 4-8pm (since I don't get FS2) and actually log into IMSA during a race (this is a crap shoot) I can watch 20 hours of the race :D

I would try that, unfortunately there are children in the house. I'll just stay up until the early hours on Saturday and sleep in until noon or so.
