Yeah they had good success there, so I would expect that too.

Didn't someone post an article about the possibility of Ford bringing the new GT into a few events towards the end of this year?

Yes. The driver from Multimatic said it'll probably be after the 24h.

And I suppose that Ford has been the only rumored program, so that makes sense.

Interesting though, since the European rounds of the WEC happen before Le Mans.

6hrs of Nurburgring is after Le Mans, August 30th with COTA double header 3 weeks later.I cant imagine Ford would debut the new GT in Germany and with the IndyCar season ending the same day there is no way Ganassi runs a Ford in Europe this year. Running a 2 car test program at COTA could make sense, with a car in TUSCC spec and the other in WEC spec but it doesnt fit the rumor.

Who else has the budget to run a GTE/LM program, the need/desire to expand it's market share, and has a car that fits? How about this http://jalopnik.com/the-mercedes-amg-gt-s-will-be-129-900-of-tire-smoking-1681097316

Clarification: I thought it was about the Mustang GT. the driver from Multimatic was speaking about the Mustang would probably make its debut with the team after the 24H.

Any word on why Shank's car is red now? Did they get in trouble for the chrome or what?

On another note: http://www.dailysportscar.com/2015/...tona-marshall-pruetts-wednesday-notebook.html

A new GT marque for GTLM, unless there's a typo and they meant to say ELMS, which could mean a new GTD contender, too (but not Lamborghini, since we already know about that).

Any guesses on the possibilities?
The chrome was only for testing. After the tests they announced the car's livery would be different for the season on their twitter I believe. I might be wrong about it, but I'm pretty sure the chrome was a temp thing.

Wait so there's a Mustang too? I thought Ford was just doing a GT-GTE(GTLM)? Or is the Mustang a GT3?

Sounds like it was all speculation.

Nothing has been confirmed for either car or either regulations at this point. Though the GT in GTE/LM is the most likely.

If the Mustang races in GT3, it'll most likely be constructed by an un-affiliated team/manufacturer ala Reiter, Matech, Emil Frey etc.

anyone got the alternative live stream? the imsa.com one seems broken, I know they streamed elsewhere yesterday,

The link to the always great Andy Blackmore spotters guide. http://www.spotterguides.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/SG_DAY15_V1.pdf

Picking the winners is tough this year, the BoP seems much closer this year but this has not been proven yet. The DP vette's are keeping a very low profile and with their increased fuel capacity I suspect they will suddenly find some speed when the race starts. The Ligier/HPD is very quick but will it survive the DP assault and will the Shank guys be able to quickly deal with any issues.

My picks to win
P- 01 Ford DP
PC-11 RSR
LM-24 BMW I guess, anybody can win this class
GTD-93 Viper

http://www.radiolemans.com/ under the IMSA tab. http://www.fanschoice.tv/ and keep a eye on this twitter stream https://twitter.com/baekdal24hours/lists/all-of-le-mans for onboard links from various teams.

RLM will have all 24hrs of geoblock free audio but the video will only be available here after 10pm est,but there are "other" options available if the TV broadcast is as bad as it was last year.

Exit off the bus stop = every single obscenity known to man.

Oh My God that line through the bus stop is soooo tight! I didn't know it was possible to just hug the inside like that. Gonna have to attempt that it GT6 now, will probably shave off 2 seconds!

Oh yes, that's the line. I was probably picking up a couple seconds a lap through there in the recent Daytona challenge. Just make sure you are not following any ai cars too close when you enter, it's like they are slamming on the brakes!

I'm not sure if it's been posted or not, but here is the TV schedule.

Saturday, Jan. 24 (All times ET)

2-4 p.m. FOX Network

4-8 p.m. FOX Sports 2

8-10 p.m. FOX Sports 1

Overnight (Jan. 24-25)

10 p.m.-7 a.m. IMSA TV on IMSA.com (live video streaming and commentary)

Sunday, Jan. 25

7 a.m.-2:30 p.m. FOX Sports 1

Reviewing the coverage schedule, I just realized I will have no TV coverage available from 4-8pm as I don't get Fox Sports 2. C'mon Fox! Guess I'll be turning to online earlier than expected. :banghead:

Separately, I don't have any picks for the race because, who really knows, but I will be pulling for the following:

P: #10 Chevy DP - Been following them for a few years now
PC: Really don't care. Seriously. Every second spent covering that class is a second wasted.
GTLM: #3/4 Vette - Chevy fan boy reporting for duty and man I love the sound of that Vette :D
GTD: #58 Porsche - I've been waiting to see the Brumos livery back at the track since the day they left Grand-Am so this is a slice of heaven come true!

I don't get Fox Sports 2.

I think that's the case for a large majority of people as some providers don't carry the channel and the ones that do have it on one of the top tiers.

The dumbest part is that all regular Fox has scheduled for the 3-7cst time slot is Judge Judy, local news and TMZ.

Viewing the Spotter's Guide I didn't know the Deltawing and Mazda Prototypes were now part of the P class. At least, I recall the Mazdas being in their own thing last year.

Worth noting this is the only race I watch in this series.

Who I think will win:

P - MSR Ligier JS-P2 #60
PC - Nobody cares
GTLM - RLLM BMW Z4 GTE, either the #24 or #25
GTD - Turner Motorsport BMW Z4 GT3 #97
---------------------------------------------------------
Who I want to win:

P - MSR Ligier JS-P2 #60
PC - Don't honestly care
GTLM - AMR Aston Martin V8 Vantage GTE #98
GTD - TRG Aston Martin V12 Vantage either the #007 or #009

This weekend is going to be an amazing race! :D
