ONE HUNDRED MILLION POUNDS FOR PAUL POGBA?!?!?!?!?!???!?!?!

WHAT THE HELL ARE WE DOING?!?!??!?

Pogba did come from our youth team, we stupidly gave him to Juve on a fee, and now its £100 million to have him back!!

No idea what to make of this at all, he is a fantastic player but a hundred mill? I just........oh god!

Wake me up when a Premier League club gives a professional contract to a local player who's come through the youth team.
George Evans came close for city played at all levels, but got sold on to Reading in the end, Plus not sure on the professional contract thingy?

Not really. Granted he got his first pro deal at United but he came from Le Harve's and Torcy's youth system before United poached him at the age of 16.

Remember the time when it was fancy to have a couple of foreigners in your team?

The English Premier League has become the Foreign Premier League. 👎

Oh no. But I don't think I have seen an English player transfer yet this period.

To be fair, they didn't really do a good job of selling themselves at the Euros. Who'd want them?

Kane gets another contract extension, increasing his wage to £100,000 a week and making him Spurs highest payed player.

Reports saying that Spurs have tied down Marcus Edwards to a new contract. Only 17 years old but is the most promising prospect that Spurs have had in years. Not exaggerating but it could be the most important peace of business done this summer.

Edit: Also I'm surprised that nobody has commented on the news that top clubs will be able to send U21 teams into the EFL Trophy. Spurs have declined and I believe Liverpool also have. If any PL club enter, they would be able to easily win if they wanted to as they can play up to 5 senior players if they felt like it, making it feel like a waste of time.

Granted, I felt that way about the Johnstone's Paint Trophy anyway.

League one and two teams.

They have loads of even worse foreign players already, this problem isn't just in the Premier League.

Also there has actually been quite a number of transfers of English players, mostly for stupid money too of course.

The English Premier League has become the Foreign Premier League. 👎
It's not exclusive to the Premier League. I remember reading a discussion here some time ago (~first half of the 15/16 season) about the lack of English players in the PL.

Later that afternoon both Manchester United and Sheffield Wednesday were playing, and to my amazement Sheffield Wednesday had fewer English players than Manchester United. And it wasn't a one off anomaly either.
The Championship club consistently fielded more foreign players than the PL club, both in their starting XI, and in their matchday squad.

It's probably not the case if you average the two leagues against each other but let's get over this myth that this is an exclusive "problem" for the Premier League.

Edit: Bielsa has apparently resigned as Lazio coach, 2 days after signing :odd:

Juventus may want even more after that move and cross he made for France's 2nd goal yesterday.
They will hold out for a bid from Real Madrid who have shown major interest.

AC have beat Dortmund for Marko Pjaca costing them €20m + €5m in bonuses.

Arsenal have made a bid of £12m for Subotic.

Liverpool are prepared to bid for Talisca.

A couple of days ago, I was thinking to myself that the next England manager should throw in a few players from outside the rarefied heights of the BPL... at this rate, who ever it is may not have much of a choice!

Two more players have gone to join China's Football revolution, Southampton Graziano Pelle and Newcastle's Papiss Cisse this time, interesting the Southampton have let one of their best players go.

They did but they both got improved deals at the end of the season as rewards for their good form....
