Champions League matchday again tonight!

Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich at Santiago Bernabeu and Leicester City vs Atletico Madrid at King Power Stadium.

Should hopefully be some interesting matches, but me being a Real Madrid supporter I sure want both Real and Leicester to go through to the semis.

This ref is an absolute 🤬 joke. No second yellow for a lunge by Casemiro but gives a second yellow for perfectly clean tackle by Vidal.

Exactly.

Edit.

I'm fairly certain that the UEFA instructs their refs to be in favour of the Spanish clubs. We've seen it way too often lately.

Leicester 1-1 Atletico Madrid
Leicester is out :(:(:(
Respect to these lads.:bowdown: The most heartbreaking moment for me as a fan. But hey, every fairytale has an end sometime, no?
I feel very lucky to have witnessed a so beautiful story like this.

Congratulations Leicester City!

Reminder - Real earns UEFA more money if they go through to the semis.

I await Barcelona v Juventus with some trepidation.

Really don't know what to make of the Real-Bayern game....

Well done to Leicester though, fantastic effort 👍

Incredible. Casemiro dodged at least 3 completely legitimate second yellow cards. Vidal plays the balls and is sent off.

I hope Bayern will make a case out of this. 🤬

We all know what most likely to happen that the ref of the game will probably be suspended like the one in the Barca-PSG game to be replace with another bias ref. The cycle carries on.

Edit: Poor grammar corrected due to rage.

Who wants to bet that if Barca doesn't go through, Real and Atletico won't be playing each other in the Semi's?

And as I type that, the misery strikes. Again the possibility for 3 Spanish teams at the last four. ****.

While the 2nd yellow to Vidal was a bit harsh, he had it coming too. He also dodged they yellow on quite a few tackles and fouls earlier and probably should have had the yellow alot sooner.

But I guess everyone hates spanish football because they are so dominant.

Yes, I expect alot of comments towards me now.

I haven't watched the game personally, but a good friend of mine who saw, said the exact same thing, so yeah, I was hoping for someone to actually confirm what he said to me.

Well, look at that bias comment from a Real fan which lacks any context.

Vidal's first yellow card was harsh as he got the booking only in the 6th minute where at these of stages of the tournament, the player would be issued a warning before a booking but Vidal went straight to the referee's booking. Vidal and Casemiro had a fair few amount of fouls committed between them but it is a shambles that Casemiro got away with a clear lunge with no intention to get the ball but only minutes after Vidal gets the sending off for probably the cleanest tackle in the match.

Let's not forget prior to that red card Bayern had more possession and more attempts on goal in the second half plus leading the game 2-1 and it would have been a possible 3-1 but the linesman flagged an offside for Lewandowski who was on a one and one which in the replay he clearly wasn't so that's another point to talk about in the decisions today so without a doubt Bayern had the momentum to score another to kill off the game.

So on to the topic about Spanish dominance. Yet Barca lost to Juventus 3-0, Leicester knocked out Sevilla who are 4th in the table whereas Leicester sit in 12th in the PL. And for Atletico, only marginally beating Leicester to proceed into the semi's. How is that dominance?

Leicester might be 12th but since Claudios sacking they are playing more like last year, their only loss since came when they rested players for the CL.

Spain as a whole are dominating and have for awhile now.

It's funny how angry and aggressive people can get over everyday mistakes.

But you calling me bias is hilarious. I am a very objective person and I agree that Vidal should not have been sent off for that foul in which he did, but he should have alot earlier.

Yes, Casemiro probably should have been sent off too.

However, it does NOT matter how early in a game the tackle is. A yellow card foul deserves a yellow card, no matter when, to who, or where.

Also, Bayern got the softest penalty in history awarded, and Casemiro got nothing for an alot more clear foul later. Yeah, fair right? Nope.

But you obviously hate spanish football based on your reply so keep em coming.
