That is how you remind people you're one of the greats. Fantastic ride from Vale, it must be 7 years since he won a race like that. It's also the first time he's beat Jorge in a 100% dry race since Sachsenring last year so there's a monkey off his back.

As for the support classes, Brad Binder was leagues ahead of the rest and Sam Lowes finally showing what we expected from him on a decent bike. 👍

EDIT: I try and convince a few people that Moto gp is more exciting than their beloved f1, today didn't help.

MotoGP is far more exciting in my opinion, "dirty air" isn't really an issue and the racing is much less predictable even with less reliability issues.

I think you need to watch a few races of a racing series to get into it, to someone who doesn't watch MotoGP today probably looked like a blue bike following a blue bike but what we saw is a legend of the sport proving that he isn't quite past it yet and that he still has a good chance of making up for the disappointment of last season.

Great race from Rossi, it has been awhile that he beats Lorenzo on a dry track. Hope he can keep this form.

Dovizioso must be thinking about staying home next race, how much bad luck can someone have.

Just got to see the race. Stoked to see Rossi ride like that...in a way I feel lucky to have been able to watch that. For a "boring" race, I was actually really into it, due to all the back story and circumstances. For a bit I was worried that Rossi had run off too quickly, and got nervous when Lornezo got the gap down to 2 secs. I had a huge smile across my face though once he started to stretch it back out :). Crafty old bugger kept a little something extra in his back pocket :sly: Stoked to see what is shaping up to be a 3 way fight for the chamlionship!

I finally feel Rossi has closed the gap on pure pace, something we haven't seen since 2010 before he broke his leg.

One last title before he retires would be amazing. Two.. well that would be crazy.

Watching BSB Oulton Park....commentators said one of the guys who crashed at Silverstone had to have the tip of his pinking finger amputated  :ill:

I wouldn't past Yamaha to try and pull Pedrosa away from Honda as he would be Yamaha's man to beat Lorenzo.
What about that Italian guy that they already have? You know, Rosso. Or Rossa. What's his name again? I don't know, but I hear he's pretty good.

Nah I don't think he would want to beat Lorenzo, best mates I heard.
Pedrosa would be interesting to see on a Yamaha, they certainly wouldn't keep him finishing 5th/6th every year so the pressure would be on.

Tech 3 have replaced Bradley Smith with Jonas Folger. Not a bad choice in my opinion, although he's been around a while he hasn't shown too much special but he's a very good rider.

I actually think it's a poor choice; he is Bradl sans a title. In moto3 he was never a consistent front runner and has been not much better in Moto 2.

I would have thought a future gun like Rins or even Oliveira would have been wiser.

Thing is, Smith isn't being replaced as he's going to KTM Factory, still though it should be interesting to see how Floger does. Also speaking of it would interesting to see how fills the remaining KTM seat and my bets are:

Kallio
Zarco(if the Suzuki rumors aren't true)
Kent
Redding??
Bradl??

Something make me thing there is a good chance that Bradl might end up going to KTM on the basis of his association Red Bull add the fact he's German.

He's been better in Moto 2 than 3/125, he won a couple of races last year and has outperformed Cortese on a bike Cortese has been riding for a couple of years. I would rather see Rins on one of the factory bikes, I think he's the real deal.

I think Bradley jumped before he was pushed but that's neither here nor there. Karel Abraham has tested the KTM but there must be better riders available. Aprilia are probably keen to keep Bradl which probably leaves Aleix Esparagro as the best choice if Vinales stays put. This is getting very confusing :P

One of the biggest Spanish papers, El Pais, are claiming Pedrosa to Yamaha is a done deal. That would mean Vinales is staying at Suzuki and opens up a HRC bike, as Iannone is apparently not on their radar.
If they don't want Dovizioso back either (which I don't think they do) it pretty much leaves Crutchlow or Miller. Of the two Miller has a Honda contract whereas Cal has a contract to the team, I'm lead to believe. As I said earlier, I'd want Rins on it, well actually Jonathan Rea but realistically Rins.

Cal really ???
Don't even think he's an option,he crashes way to much to earn a ride on the factory Honda.
Vinales will stay at Suzuki imo.
My candidates are,Rins,Zarco or Dovi.
Personally i would have liked that Dani stayed but if he does make the move,i wish him all the best, imo i always have thought that the yamaha will suit Dani more then the Honda does.
Still waiting for the official confirmation, but rumours are getting louder by the minute.

Missed qualifying yesterday so I'm quite eager to watch the race now.
Only six minutes to go. Hopefully Lorenzo won't run away with it and we get a battle to the end.

Synchronised lowsides from MM and poor old Dovi. At this rate, Ducati will be dropping both, Iannone due to inconsistency and Dovi for bad luck!

You've contradicted yourself a bit there. I would like to see him on the yamaha since the Honda is very aggressive and his small size probably exaggerates the problem.

I don't think anyone can be surprised by Lorenzo winning but what was with all the crashes?? I genuinely couldn't believe it when Marquez and Dovizioso crashed in unison, whereas it's just expected from Iannone now. He's got to find a new team now it seems.

Michelin's new front tyres aren't giving the riders any warnings before it's too late.

Valentino Rossi. What a fighter, 7th to 2nd.
I believe he had exactly the same qualifying and race result last year too.

Like stated above, the feel from the tyres is to blame for most of the crashes. Dovi and #93 score points for synchronized crashing.;)

Cal and especially Dovi are having a terrible season so far.

Nice to see Viñales on the podium, (in front of Pedrosa). Can not imagine that HRC is not looking at him if Pedrosa is really going to Yamaha.

I like the person Dani Pedrosa (keeping low profile, not making harsh statements, rides fair,...) and i like his skills.
But imo i think the Yamaha will be a better bike for him to suit his skills.
I'm a Honda fan you know.I hope DP26 will stay at Honda (because of his personallity),but if he does make the move to Yamaha,no harsh feelings and i'm wishing him the best.

About the race and championship:
Well i didn't like the many crashes and in particular MM's,but these things happen.
VR46 did a great job and even without the crashes from MM93 and AD04 he would have finished second imo.
Only it could have been a fight to the checkered flag, that's the sad thing about it.
I'm glad that Vinales finished on the podium, something he trew away in Argentina.
Championship is wide open now,the future will make clear if MM93's 3 points score will have any importance.
