Was I hearing things from the ESPN crew? I could have sworn one of them said this weekend's crews were not actual crews, but individuals ranked highest at their position ala all star voting.

Also, BOOM, PLEASE DON'T GO!!!!

Wait, is he retiring fully?

All I know is that he's stopped doing the MLB Home Run Derby (Thank god) and he is switching to ESPN Radio's LDS games (Uhhhhh....)

Officially no. He's stepping back and going to "another role". He's effectively going off-screen, but I don't see him staying much longer. He's one of the few reasons I have left to watch ESPN.

NFL Countdown has seen some pretty high turnover, but I liked what they did with the panel this year, especially adding Woodson and my boy Randy Moss. Made it so much better then listening to the triumvirate of dumbasses that was Ray Lewis, Cris Carter and that other one.

This years Countdown crew is really good, and I imagine Trey Wingo will take over hosting when Berman steps away and that will be good too, but Boomer and TJ is a combo that I could listen to, laugh, and learn from without being over the top.

It seems like a vast majority of sports guys try to do too much on TV, especially SportsCenter over the last three years, am I wrong?

So another Sunday is upon us. This is no ordinary Sunday, though. We saw the Houston Texans and Seattle Seahawks advance, but also had to say goodbye to the Oakland Raiders and the Detroit Lions. Who'll advance from today's games? Miami at Pittsburgh and the New York Giants at Green Bay.

The Texans will play at either Kansas City or New England based on who wins between MIA at PIT. Here is how I think I understand the situation... I think if Miami wins, we're going to Kansas City in the AFC Divisional Round. If Pittsburgh wins against Miami, we will be at the New England Patriots in the Divisional Round. It's "pick your poison" for the Texans. I mean- would you rather the team that came into your house last season and beat you 30-0, or the team that ran over you in a shutout on a Thursday night?

Anyhow... enjoy some NFL football today.

I figured the Lions would lose beforehand so I didn't bother watching. I'm glad I didn't watch.

Pittsburgh Steelers turning the Miami Dolphins into roadkill. Unless there is an epic comeback by Miami, it looks like the Steelers will go to Kansas City while my Texans will be at New England. 30-6, Pittsburgh with 2:05 (and counting) left in the 3rd Quarter. Le'Veon Bell busted one for a touchdown recently.

So next week will be Texans-Patriots, Steelers-Chiefs, Seahawks-Falcons, and GB/NYG-Cowboys. Bets? Atlanta is the team I question, but all the rest...good luck pickin'.

 the Texans are going to get rolled aren't they? Past that I'm hoping for Giants/Cowboys with the Giants winning that match up. If Green Bay and Dallas get knocked out I really don't care who wins out.

Did Joe Buck really just blamed the way the Giants are playing today cause of the boat trip?! ARE YOU 🤬🤬🤬🤬 ME?!

CAN FOX JUST FIRE THIS 🤬 FOR THE SAKE OF HUMANITY?

Some days I wonder if Troy Aikman wants to either bash his head into a wall or punch Joe Buck in the face since he is paired with Joe Buck.

I dont even wanna think of what would happen if Buck called a Nascar race with Michael Waltrip..... OH GOD THE HORROR

Unless the DBs were also on the trip, the boat trip is not the reason they lost. Still, the optics for it were horrible.

No road team won a game in the wild card round.

It's looking more like Green Bay at Dallas. Packers up 31-13 over the visiting New York Giants with 3:52 left in the game as of this post. And yes- I'm expecting my Texans to get destroyed (again) at New England (pending divine intervention).

[UPDATE] The game ended 38-13, Green Bay. Green Bay at Dallas for their Divisional match.

Joe is only doing now what absolutely 🤬 everyone in the media, their dog, their dog's fleas, and the dog's flea's diseases will be doing in less than an hour, especially the New York media.

And that's why. It's all in what is seen...of course it doesn't help Odell dropped at least one touchdown pass.

Still, Joe Buck is...irritating on a good day. He needs to stick to baseball, I thought he did decently there, but with football he's just...I don't care for him.

As for the Packers... does anyone else feel like if they played another game right now, it'd be 77-13? I watch them, and I swear they get better the deeper into a game they go.

Can someone please tell Joe Buck to stop praising the hell out of Rodgers?

Doug Marrone is the new Jags head coach. Tom Coughlin will be the Jags VP of football operations. Link here. Worth noting (also mentioned in the link) that Coughlin was once the coach of the Jags.

The Chargers will announce as soon as tomorrow that they are moving to LA. It is being reported that they will play the next 2 seasons at the Stubhub Center, home of the LA Galaxy.

Dammit tbw, I'd just finished my thought!

Unofficial words: The Chargers are looking at LA with near certainty. Letter of intent hasn't been sent to the head office, but after another potential avenue to a new stadium ate it, Charger's brass are considering the 27,000-30,000 seat arena the LA Galaxy of MLS play in.

Honestly, Qualcomm still looks good. It doesn't have the new bells and whistles recent stadiums do, but it still looks the part, and I'm sure players would like to have another Super Bowl there, and not just Chargers either.

I actually like Qualcomm Stadium. Great stadium. So it looks like we're going to have the Los Angeles Rams and the (I'm assuming) Los Angeles Chargers. Sad for San Diego to say goodbye to the Chargers playing in a fine stadium.

Everything I have heard about that stadium is that it is a dump. There was a story earlier this year that one time recently it rained and the roof leaked so bad it blew up the tv's in the suites. It's too bad that the billionaire owner cant afford to build a nice new stadium  but I'm am glad the taxpayers didnt let themselves get suckered into paying for it like so many other cities have.

Still, it's not the Oakland Colosseum at least.

Don't forget about the Raiders, which at this point Vegas is looking better and better. As popular as the Raiders are, could they get away with officially being "The Raiders" sans city?
