Classic Jose. Get the team bus over the M62, drive it through the turnstiles and onto the pitch.

I highly doubt Man City or Chelsea would have played so defensively in the same circumstances. 6-4-0; when you spent that much money and your formation resembles a locomotive configuration instead of a football team, you're doing it wrong. Pogba or no Pogba, that was a terrible performance from Manchester United and a horrid advert for the division.

Big Game Lukaku absent again. He touched fewer balls than a nun.

---

A sad story from Indonesia; Choriul Huda died after colliding with his teammate during a league game on Sunday. Head and neck injuries were so severe and after an hour of treatment he was pronounced dead.

Quoted from elsewhere...

"It was a day when Jose Mourinho did what many said was impossible and found a solution to Liverpool's defensive crisis"

Another quote...

"Sir Alex Ferguson would never have subjected United fans, or one of his teams, to such a cowardly display, especially at Liverpool."

Mike Ashley has officially put Newcastle United up for sale and wants it sold by Christmas.

They'll be dancing on the streets of Newcastle tonight!

Good luck to Newcastle - their fans deserve a better owner than Mike Ashley.

With the injuries we have at the moment I'm happy with a pragmatic draw at Anfield.

Pragmatic draw... PMSL

United have spent >£300M in the last 2 seasons... the only player they were really missing was Pogba.

Jose played the tactics of a mid table team... actually, most mid table teams have more ambition than United showed at the weekend.

Jose Mourinho... mr anti-football.

United fans... so desperate to win the league they'll put up with that.

Mr anti-Football? we have put four past Everton, West Ham and Swansea this season...

I totally agree that Uniteds performance was horrible and not trying to justify it, but the United team got a good result on a poor day.

People will always complain about Mourinho's style of football and tactics, and while I didn't really like that he was hired, he certainly has shown progress.

But for Liverpool there is always next year. :sly:

Like I said in a previous post, I don't agree with his tactics or what happened on Saturday at all....but there has been a massive over-reaction from a lot of people including some people on this thread, like he is some sort of antichrist or something, and some of the bile directed at Jose from United fans on Twitter since the match has been disgusting...

On form, and considering how **** our defense is, you should have battered us at the weekend... most Liverpool fans were fearing the worst. Jose sends the team out to play like we are Barcelona, or Madrid.

What's the point if you spend all that money, have all those great players, then send them out to play football like that? Fergie would NEVER have done that... he'd have rather gone down fighting than chickened out.

If Klopp sent Liverpool out to play football that lacked an ambition I would stop watching them.

He deserves all the criticism he gets... spends 100 of millions, then sends the team out to play like that... and it's not like this is the 1st time he's done it, is it? Been the same the last few times we've played United... home or away.

Crystal Palace scored their first goal Saturday... and got a 2nd (well one was an own goal)... to beat Chelsea. :boggled:

AC Milan lose again, this time to a hat trick penalty at the death by Icardi in the Milan Derby.

Funny how everyone is talking about Mourinho this and United that but not about the fact that the current Champions lost to a team that didn't score a league goal in seven games...

Leicester drew 1-1 with West Brom, Chadli free kick and a Mahrez equalizer 10 minutes from time in a game which livened up in the second half after a dull first half

Yeah, Pogba, Fellaini and Carrick. And that's just in central midfield.

Still better than actually being mid table though, would you agree?
Jose Mourinho... mr anti-football.
Played: 8, won: 6, drew: 2, lost: 0, goals for: 21, goals against: 2, Position: 2nd. Yeah, right.

Mourinho had a plan that worked, Klopp didn't - Deal with it.

There would be more chance of Roy Keane getting into a fight.

As for Liverpool, we dont have to wait for next season, merely the next game 👍

That assumes that Klopp didn't want at least a point, and not to concede a goal.
An assumption based on his post match interview where he said: "Man Utd wanted a point, they got it. We wanted three, we didn't get it, so, umm."

Does anyone remember what happened to Arsenal when they went for it at Anfield?

Yeah, Pogba, Fellaini and Carrick. And that's just in central midfield.

Pogba I'll accept... but Carrick hasn't played for you in the league this season. Fellaini has started 3 games and 3 as a sub.

If parking the bus was Jose's plan, it worked.

As an American I just discovered ArsenalFanTV earlier this year on Youtube. It's fun to go over and watch after Arsenal flubs away another one. Just as soon as Cleverley's goal hit the back of the net I thought "oh boy this is going to be good tonight".

Well Shakespeare has an excellent start to his Leicester career, winning his first five game and being the first new PL manager to do so, but Leicester have had a poor start to the season with no wins in the last six and in the bottom three, he was only in charge for quite a short time though so I'm not sure if it was the right decision.

That wasn't even in my top 5 most likely sackings...

Alan Pardew the favourite for the job with a few bookies, Chris Coleman also been mentioned.

Friday night Football is back tomorrow night, so here's the weekends games

Friday Night

Man City v Burnley
Newcastle v Crystal Palace

The FA have found themselves in a spot of bother again, and once again its their own doing...
