So Slaven Bilic had reportedly two games to save his West Ham job, the first of which was against Spurs at Wembley in the cup tonight, didn't start well for them being 2-0 down inside half an hour....but then three goals in 15 second half minutes made it quite the comeback for them and it makes it one down one to go for Bilic, next up is home to Palace at the weekend, a game really they should be winning.

Chelsea beat Everton 2-1 in the other cup game and the quarter final draw is tomorrow at 4pm GMT.

Caixinha sacked as Rangers manager...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41762385

Scotland must be one of the only places where your team can be 4th in the top flight after 10 games and you can still get the sack. Of course, being 8 pts down on Celtic after just 10 games means that there is already no chance that Rangers will win the league. It will be fascinating to see who Rangers will appoint as their next long term manager... no wait, it won't.

Don't think Caixinha did a good job there, remember in the Summer when they got knocked out of the Europa League by the fourth best team in Luxembourg?? I think they need someone who's Scottish/British and knows the country/league. Doesn't really have to be a big name...

That's the problem - anyone who knows Scottish football wouldn't touch the Rangers job with a ten foot barge pole.

I just hope my fellow coutrymen Peña and Herrera get the chance to show their best versions with the new manager. Their best seasons in León and Pumas respectively happened not so far ago, so I don't see a reason why they can't return to top form  Gullit Peña even got to the National team in his prime as two time Mexican League champion.

And even if they don't, I can already see Tigres signing them in December and announcing them as "Superstars" like all the former mexican players they've purschased back from Europe (Aquino, Kikín Fonseca).

Games this weekend.

Saturday
Arsenal v Swansea
Bournemouth v Chelsea (5.30 BT)
Crystal Palace v West Ham
Liverpool v Huddersfield
Man United v Tottenham (12.30 Sky)
Watford v Stoke
West Brom v Man City

Sunday
Brighton v Southampton (1.30 Sky)
Leicester v Everton (4pm Sky)

Monday Night
Burnley v Newcastle (8pm Sky)

Big news is that Harry Kane is OUT of the United game, he hasn't recovered from his hamstring injury that he picked up v Liverpool and wasn't in the squad for the cup game v West Ham in the week. Whilst I admit that Kane is a huge part of how Spurs play I'm still not expecting the win the win tomorrow.

It's like millions of voices suddenly removed him from their fantasy league teams, and were suddenly silenced.

He's out for one game. A strong subs bench will get you through this tough time.

United win 1-0 against Spurs, Martial with the goal...

Overall a much better performance than the last 2 matches.

Second half was much better from us, only the one shot on target in the first half, nice to get back to winning ways in the league 👍

Full times.
Man United 1-0 Tottenham
Arsenal 2-1 Swansea
Liverpool 3-0 Huddersfield
West Brom 2-3 Man City
Watford 0-1 Stoke
Crystal Palace 2-2 West Ham

Dramatic 96th minute equaliser for Palace!

England have won the U-17 World Cup final, coming from 2-0 down to beat Spain 5-2.

A really stunning performance by England, they were unlucky to go 1-0 down but Spain's second goal was well taken and it looked like it wouldn't be England's day with 30 minutes gone... but they kept plugging away and were by far the better side. Spain didn't play well and resorted to some pretty ugly tactics - they should have had a player sent off in the first 15 minutes after a horrible stamp on an England player's back. Spain ended up resorting to rugby tackles in order to stop the England wingers, but it was too little too late from the Spanish.

England have won a World Cup twice in the same year!, the under 17 to go with the under 20 cup earlier in the year.

If Billic loses his job he might have Antonio to thank for it. Threw away 2 points with a bonehead decision.

I missed the United and Tottenham match, I was too busy getting paint on me and not the walls. I've read a couple of match reports though and it sounds like we had the best chances but not a lot in it. Going to catch the highlights on MOTD later.

I was shopping but after the Liverpool game I wasn't too fussed, from what I've heard it wasn't as bad as that game though. Onwards and upwards I guess.

I won't be surprised if Gareth Southgate decides to take teenagers to the World Cup in Russia next year.

So Brighton and Southampton drew 1-1 earlier and its currently Leicester 2-0 Everton with about an hour gone, great start for Puel thus far, second goal was a Kenny own goal and the first goal was finished by Vardy but it was all about Gray's run.

Also newly promoted Girona have just beaten Real Madrid 2-1, similar to Huddersfield and Man United last week, Real are now 8 points off leaders Barcelona.

Troy Deeney was charged with violent conduct earlier after appearing to sink his thumbnails into Joe Allen's Cheeks on Saturday, he was booked for it, if found guilty he will serve a three match ban.

Burnley beat Newcastle 1-0 in a fairly dull affair tonight, Burnley now up to seventh with same points as Liverpool. 👍

No-one in their right mind would want to manage Sunderland right now....

Interesting stuff by Gareth Southgate today regarding his England squad for Germany and Brazil next week, three uncapped players in Tammy Abraham, Joe Gomez and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ashley Young is in an England squad for the first time since 2013, Rose is back from injury, players missing out are Wilshire, Smalling, Ox-Chamberlain and Sturridge.

For Wales Coleman named five uncapped players for France and Panama, Coleman also hinted a few times towards signing a new contract.

The three uncapped players are from the Under 21s, Gomez definitely deserves his call up, playing regularly for Liverpool and playing well too, Abraham is interesting as he has put in some good performances with Swansea and scoring goals but there have been times where he's gone missing (he isn't playing with world-beaters though!) I cant see Abraham getting any game time though as Rashford, Vardy and Kane are in too, Southgate probably wants to take a closer look at him, curious as to why Loftus-Cheek is there though, barely played for Palace since Hodgson took charge.

More internationals? Urgh.

Is it because I follow England that these games make me groan or is that normal?

Its another international break already that gets on my nerves, last one was only about three weeks ago. :grumpy:
