Evra! :ill::crazy:

Everton lost again tonight, Unsworth said in his first press conference that he wants the job permanently, and he hasn't backed that up with three games and three straight defeats, only one win in ten, they need to get the right guy in fast!

Games this weekend.

Saturday
Huddersfield v West Brom
Newcastle v Bournemouth
Southampton v Burnley
Stoke v Leicester (12.30 Sky)
Swansea v Brighton
West Ham v Liverpool (5.30 BT)

Sunday
Tottenham v Crystal Palace (12pm BT)
Man City v Arsenal (2.15 Sky)
Chelsea v Man United (4.30 Sky)
Everton v Watford (4.30)

Sunday is where its at with two big games, I think Chelsea are there for the taking....If we can just attack!

In the last three games, Wednesday have come out of the blocks on fire. The net result is this:
League games scored by 15th Minute (2017-18):
Wednesday - 0
Opposition - 3 (SWFC Won 1, Drawn 1, Lost 1)

League games scored after 75th Minute (2017-18):
Wednesday - 0
Opposition - 4 (SWFC Won 0, Drawn 1, Lost 3)
is now this:

League games scored by 15th Minute (2017-18):

Wednesday - 2 (SWFC Won 2, Drawn 0, Lost 0)
Opposition - 6 (SWFC Won 2, Drawn 1, Lost 3)

League games scored after 75th Minute (2017-18):
Wednesday - 1 (SWFC Won 1, Drawn 0, Lost 0)
Opposition - 6 (SWFC Won 1, Drawn 1, Lost 4)

There's an anomaly in there - we scored first against Millwall, but Millwall equalised in the 13th minute, in a game we went on to win, so it's in both the Wednesday and Opposition row for scored by 15th minute.

And he's given Rhodes two starts in the last two games... which Rhodes has paid back with two goals.

It's like I was right or something.

Full times

Stoke 2-2 Leicester
Huddersfield 1-0 West Brom
Newcastle 0-1 Bournemouth
Southampton 0-1 Burnley
Swansea 0-1 Brighton

Not a lot to shout about there, but Swansea continue to be quite disappointing. :indiff:

West Ham 1-3 Liverpool 10 minutes into the second half, Liverpool scored twice in three first half minutes, Lanzini did just get one back but Chamberlain has restored the two goal lead just 57 seconds later.

Insert generic *Celtic should be forced to play in the EPL for the good of everyone TBH* statement

To be honest I'd welcome it. Celtic must be getting bored with walking it and can't really attract the talent to challenge in Europe with that domestic situation and I'm sure they'd do half decent in the EPL. Competition is good.

West Ham 1-4 Liverpool, pretty horrible from West Ham...

Was that more of Liverpool finally playing some semblance of a defense or West Ham being so poor offensively? I know Liverpool has had a Swiss Cheese defense on the road this season but as I was watching the game I couldn't figure out which one was happening.

I'm very surprised with the performance of Huddersfield, Brighton and Burnley, great results so far, despite the odds putting them on the bottom of the table!
Also, very enjoying match between Leicester and Stoke. Gray is definitely a lad to keep an eye on, Crouch once again showed how crucial he can be, even as a substitute.

Spurs 1-0 Palace, bit tricky for Spurs as Palace put up a fight, Son's goal in the second half was enough, there was no Lloris or Vorm so third choice Keeper Gazzaniga had to play, Alli has a hamstring injury and has pulled out of the England squad.

Man City v Arsenal next, they have Aguero a guard of honour for becoming City's record goalscorer in the week.

Man City won 3-1 and were pretty convincing but Arsenal did put up something of a fight towards the end.

CMON UNITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's still a bit closer this season than the unbeaten record suggests, there's only 3 points of a difference between us and Aberdeen at the moment. That's pretty much down to Rodgers using home games as a chance to give second string players places in the squad though. Celtic have only won 1 of their last 4 domestic home games. Pretty damn poor.

That being said, long term it's basically got to be European football that's the aim for us. Hopefully we can secure Europa on the final game against Anderlecht (Whom I don't see beating Celtic 4-0 in any capacity to overturn us, they seem to be falling apart).

Domestic football here is just the way it is right now, Rangers can't mount a worthwhile challenge because they can't overspend and Aberdeen do great with their budget but until they get a bit of wit in Europe they'll struggle to grow.

Why do managers stay until they're sacked. Surely it's better to resign and leave yourself wishing the club the best for the future, rather than the dismissal which never looks good.

Money.

Quit and they may owe the club, get sacked and they'll get a nice payout depending on the time remaining on their contract, could be millions too. One of the many reasons some clubs end up in such a financial mess.

Looks like David Moyes will get the West Ham job till the end of the season.

Not only have they sacked Bilic but also almost the entire first team coaching staff has gone too, only one first team goalkeeping coach remains, good job they got no games for two weeks!

Celtic broke the British record of 62 domestic games without defeat when they beat St Johnstone 4-0 today. It was their own record which they had held for the last 100 years.

What's the English record of domestic games without defeat?

49 games.

Arsenal's run stretching from 7th May 2003, encompassing the entire of the 2003/04 Invincibles campaign, and ending in the Battle of the Buffet away to Manchester United on 24th October 2004.

Just to catch up:

30th October - Lee Clark (Bury, sacked) League One
31st October - Simon Grayson (Sunderland, sacked) Championship

6th November - Slaven Billic (West Ham United, sacked) Premier League

Sacked: 12
*1 mutual consent

Total: 12

Did I miss someone saying "Shut that door!" when Sunderland sacked Larry Grayson?

I'm rather underwhelmed by David Moyes getting the West Ham job. He has failed at each of his last three jobs, lasting no more than 3/4 of a season at any of them. It's the same managerial merry-go-round; same people being touted each time.

Not that the West Ham job is particularly alluring right now but if you're a manager in the lower leagues, an up-and-comer, or doing well in the Championship, how do you expect to get a job in the top flight when there is seemingly a glass ceiling?

I knew Arsenal had went through a whole season, but didn't know if that was the record or not.

Yes.
Too late to shut that door.

When David Moyes was appointed Man United manager he signed a six-year contract till 2019, since signing the deal he has managed Man United, Real Sociedad, Sunderland and now West Ham and he still has around 18 months left...

Patrice Evra has been banned from UEFA competitions until June 30th 2018, sacked by Marseille and fined 10k Euros for kicking a fan a couple of weeks ago.

Still no sign of Everton appointing a permanent manager after saying they would do so during this international break.
