Moss should never be allowed to referee another Premier League game.

I'd like to see any Spurs fan defend Kane for the first pen, but it was saved and justice was served. The second was a penalty so I'd say 2-2 was fair.

Result was fair on balance, but Kane dived for the 1st pen (after Ali had already been booked for diving), and Lamela jumped in to VVD and then went down like he'd been shot.

Do you know what would be really good with a statement like that?

Context

Incompetent.

Dermot Gallagher was on Sky Sports News this morning saying Moss got both decisions right. He said Kane was onside for the first (ignoring the obvious dive) and clearly forgot that Moss waved away the second in no uncertain terms but the assistant gave it.

He awarded the penalty when he didn't know if Lovren had touched the ball or not... doesn't matter if he got it right retrospectively, he should never have awarded the penalty unless he was sure Lovren had touched it.

Also... off side rule is FUBAR if Kane is not off side for that.

2nd pen is debatable depending on the angle you watch it from.

Moss whistled and pointed straight to the spot before consulting with his assistant on the near side, and Smart wanted clarification as to whether the ball did indeed touch Lovren before reaching Kane, who would have been offside had it not.

Moss did not appear sure and consulted with fourth official Martin Atkinson via his mic, before immediately clarifying that he was awarding the penalty. Here is that conversation in full:

Smart: "All I need to know is, did Lovren touch the ball?"

Moss: "I don't know."

Smart: "If he's not touched the ball, it is offside, so you're chalking off the penalty. It has to be offside if Lovren has not touched the ball.

Christian Eriksen: "He did touch the ball."

Emre Can: "He didn't touch the ball."

Moss: "Just talk to me again."

Smart: "You know what I'm asking; I need to clarify, has Lovren touched the ball? If he has, it's a deliberate action and, therefore, it's a penalty. If he has not, it is offside.

Moss: "I have no idea whether Lovren touched the ball to be honest with you. Martin (Atkinson), have you got anything from TV? I'm giving the penalty."

Watford have just beaten Chelsea 4-1!

Not making this up!

:embarrassed::crazy::lol:

Conte looked done during the post match interview, looks like he'll be gone soon, he's having a long running feud with Mourinho and its Chelsea v United in the league on the 25th of this month, lets see if he is still in charge then.

That was probably the worst Chelsea performance I've seen for some time.

I'm more interested on what they on the 20th, I just stuck a tenner on Barca to win the 1st leg of their Champions League clash before the inevitable collapse in their odds.

Then again, Leicester did pretty well there after sacking Ranieri...

Conte looked as battered in his interview as his team did on the pitch.

Dead man walking.

I haven't added Antonio Conte to this list... yet.

But recently, Barnet have not only replaced Mark McGhee as manager but for the second manager in a row stuck him elsewhere in the club; Rossi Eames was booted down to youth team manager and McGhee has been booted "upstairs" to technical director.

Phil Brown was put on gardening leave which is as good as sacked.

Robbie Neilson was dismissed by Milton Keynes. As was Josep Clotet by Oxford.

Marco Silva was surprisingly dismissed and immediately replaced.

Leeds are now on their seventh manager in just 4 years. Surprising that it's Paul Heckingbottom given that he's the manager of a rival team and had made colourful comments about the side in the past.

Bradford City sack their most successful manager in 30 years, while the team is 6th in League One.

Paul Jewell surely in with a shout there but yeah... a strange one. One bit of bad form and gone despite still being in the play-offs.

16th January - Mark McGhee (Barnet, demoted) League Two
17th January - Phil Brown (Southend United, sacked) League One
20th January - Robbie Neilson (Milton Keynes Dons, sacked) League One
21st January - Josep Clotet (Oxford United, sacked) League One
22nd January - Marco Silva (Watford, sacked) Premier League

4th February - Thomas Christiansen (Leeds United, sacked) Championship
5th February - Stuart McCall (Bradford City, sacked) League One
6th February - Paul Heckingbottom (Barnsley, leaves for Leeds United) Championship

Sacked: 24
Resigned: 2
Demoted: 2
Approaches: 1

Total: 29

I thought January had been quiet enough but boy did it deliver.

McGhee being reassigned to technical director counts as a demotion for the purposes of this list. It just does.

3,5 years too late. Now he has to work with a bunch of underachieving nobodies.

Got the job he always wanted, deserved? But yeah, a bit late now.

Sad day today at Man United as we marked 60 year anniversary of the Munich disaster with a ceremony at Old Trafford.

No word on Conte sacking today, they have West Brom at home on Saturday then Hull in the cup, after that is very tough with Man United, City, and two games against Barcelona in the CL.

Troy Deeney is being investigated by the FA after giving two middle fingers in his celebration last night, it'll be a four-game ban, two for the offence and two for the fact it'll already his third suspension of the season!

Winter break has been discussed by the Premier League the EFL an the FA for the last few months.

Patrice Evra signs for West Ham until the end of the season, he was a free agent after being sacked by Marseille for kicking a fan in the head in a Europa League game in November, he has been banned from UEFA competition until 2020.

Troy Deeney has NOT been punished by the FA for making obscene gestures to the crowd during his celebration on Monday night, FA have written to him instead reminding him of his responsibilities.

Alexis Sanchez has been jailed for 16 months for tax fraud.....he wont actually go to jail of course.

Footballers are such respectable law abiding citizens aren't they...

Just in the Prem there have been multiple charges of drink driving, assault, sexual assault/rape, death by dangerous driving, tax fraud and god knows what else. Role models my arse.

Games for this weekend, we are at gameweek 27 already so there's only 10 more this season after this.

Saturday
Everton v Crystal Palace
Man City v Leicester (5.30 Sky)
Tottenham v Arsenal (12.30 BT)
Stoke v Brighton
Swansea v Burnley
West Ham v Watford

Sunday
Huddersfield v Bournemouth (12pm BT)
Newcastle v Man United (2.15 Sky)
Southampton v Liverpool (4.30 Sky)

Monday night
Chelsea v West Brom (8pm Sky)

TV Schedule a bit different with Sky getting the late game rather than the early KO tomorrow and BT getting two games. Big north London derby tomorrow.

Mahrez has finally trained with Leicester and is available for the Man City game tomorrow, he released a statement explaining his absence.

Worth pointing out for the Chelsea-WBA game that both Andre Villas-Boas and Roberto Di Matteo lost their jobs at Chelsea following defeats to West Brom.

Full times.

Tottenham 1-0 Arsenal
Swansea 1-0 Burnley
Everton 3-1 Crystal Palace
Stoke 1-1 Brighton
West Ham 2-0 Watford

Kane with another derby winner, Arsenal were terrible in the second half and it was most one-sided 1-0 win you will see.
