Gigi Buffon is playing his last game for Juventus this Saturday but has announced that he may still play elsewhere. Liverpool and PSG have both been linked.

Liverpool have been linked.
Please may this happen. Might be Buffon's last chance for CL glory, if we can pull this year's final off. It's too scary watching Liverpool play knowing that it's Karius or Mignolet there to stop the ball going in the net. Those two could both pick up a CL winners medal before Buffon

It's okay; Djimi Traore, Jesper Blomqvist and Jose Bosingwa have already won it.

Bosingwa has won it twice, in fact.

With liverpools recent record in finals it is a big if. If they win it, its definitly deserved this year.

Yeah, Klopp especially doesn't have a good record in finals. Just have to hope Real decide to play a high line again, like Roma did.

Lambert has left Stoke. Theres another for this season (just). Moore also manager of West Brom.

He was staying even if they went down according to Stoke, not long after they appointed him, so of course that means he's fired.

Watford will fire their manager soon enough too, they can't help themselves.

(Allerdyce hasn't managed Stoke but w/e)

I'll do the write ups later.

Carvalhal has left Swansea.
Darren Moore has got the West Brom job permanent.
McClaren has got the QPR job.

Buffon had his farewell game last night for Juventus and tonight it will be the turn of Iniesta for Barcelona and Torres for Atletico.

Frankfurt upset Bayern 3-1 to win the German DKP Cup last night.

Bromley lost the FA Trophy first by conceding a last-minute equaliser and then by missing its last two penalties. Sickening stuff.

Stoke and Derby are in talks over a compensation package for Gary Rowett to be Stoke's new manager. Rowett has asked permission to speak to them.

Jaap Stam is being touted to be new Swansea manager, not a bad shout.

Stewart Donald and his consortium have completed the Sunderland takeover.

Even last night, in the twilight of his career, he was doing lovely stuff with the ball. One of the greats.
The man is pure class all around. One of the best midfielders of all time for sure.

The windfall payment is not all at once either, it is over the course of the next three years.

"The winners will benefit from future additional revenue of at least £160m across the next three seasons, which could rise to in excess of £280m if they survive their first campaign in the Premier League."

Champions League money doesn't include the TV payment, regardless of what Happens Liverpool will make more then Real Madrid as Englands TV pool money is twice as high.

Overall they will make about 90 Million euros atleast.

Gary Rowett now officially manager of Stoke. Hope he loves them midday evenings there.

Manuel Pellegrini named manager at West Ham.

Championship playoff final winners to get £160 mil. windfall payment after promotion.

Also in this article:
"The financial rewards for the winners of the Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid in Kiev later on Saturday pale in comparison, with the difference between winning and losing for Liverpool £4m in distributions from UEFA."
Yep, the Championship playoff final is the richest single sporting event in the world, because the winners are guaranteed three years of payments from the Premier League, and a minimum number of TV games in their first season, even if they're immediately relegated.

West Brom got £98 million for finishing bottom of the Premier League.

Atletico Madrid got £71 million for finishing second in La Liga AND winning the Europa League.

Emery confirmed as Arsenal boss. I'm not entirely sure what to think about him specifically but an actual manager is better than taking a punt on Arteta in my opinion.

I think it's a wise move - Emery's track record is superb and Arsenal need an experienced manager big time.

Manuel Pellegrini named managee at West Ham.
Aren't the players managees? :P

The longer time goes the Less competitive other leagues will be, when mid table clubs are pulling better revenue then the biggest clubs outside of England.

The only way they can compete is with massive stadiums and merchandise revenue, but who knows if that will be enough in the future.

Apart from a Super rich billionaire owners who are happy to haemorrhage money but the FFP has limited that massively.

Eh, the fact that there are 6 teams in England vying for 4 Champions League spots means that it's very unlikely Southampton or West Ham will be more attractive than Borussia Dortmund or Valencia. The current big six are very attractive to players in Europe for sure but beyond them, the other 14 will be paying for young hopefuls, average players, or in West ham's case, terribly old players that were good 5-10 years ago.
