Mad game happening at Wembley, its the National League playoff final between Tranmere and Boreham Wood, Tranmere had a player sent off after 55 seconds! (not a typo!) they then made all three subs in the first half, currently 1-1 around an hour played.

Unbelievable!! Tranmere score in the 80th minute to win 2-1 and get promotion back to the Football League!, Played pretty much the entire game with 10 men!

Rival team for North Wales based Conference team.
Must play in blue, white or a mixture of the two.
:censored:s preferred.

With Tranmere, Macclesfield (up) and Chester (down) leaving the Conference, Wrexham have lost all three of their derby games for next season. :indiff:

The Jedi's are back in the Football League.

I'm curious - if Stoke were to just do the bare minimum of showing up with the necessary amount of players but just stand around uselessly while Swansea bang in 10 goals, would they face any consequences? I'm talking something along the lines of being convicted of match-fixing.

Would be like the disgrace of Gijon (West Germany v Austria W\C 1982) but worse.

Teams Managers have already been fined and reprimanded in the past for fielding 'weak' teams despite all coming from the 25 registered squad members; a manager should be free to exercise his team as he seems fit if he has the 25 required players. It definitely happened to Ian Holloway when Blackpool were in the Prem.

As for a hypothetical roll over and die on purpose job... I suppose the topic of 'effort' would come into it. An obvious attempt at not playing the game would bring a charge of bringing the game into disrepute. It's happened in bent African games in the past; cross at the ref, one Madagascar team just kept scoring own goals for a ridiculous 0-149 defeat.

Stoke are currently 1-0 down, and the Stoke fans are chanting "We want 10! We want 10!"

Full times.

Swansea 1-2 Stoke
Liverpool 4-0 Brighton
Newcastle 3-0 Chelsea
Huddersfield 0-1 Burnley
Crystal Palace 2-0 West Brom
Southampton 0-1 Man City
Man United 1-0 Watford
West Ham 3-1 Everton
Burnley 1-2 Bournemouth
Tottenham 5-4 Leicester

Very eventful day!, Swansea terrible once again, hell of a game at Wembley with Leicester going 1-3 up, Chelsea were awful, City get the goal at the death to get 100 points.

Perhaps. Just perhaps it's better to no longer predict stuff.

Ooooh, I don't know. First I predicted the Championship relegation points cutoff six weeks before it happened and then, three weeks ago:
Huddersfield and - sadly - West Ham and Palace have points on the board. They have six more of them than Southampton. Southampton may have a game in hand on Palace, but games in hand aren't points unless you win them. Plus Palace have Stoke and West Brom in their last two games, both of which will be down by then.

As things stand, for Southampton to overtake Huddersfield/Palace/West Ham, they need to score six more points in four games (plus goals in the case of Palace). If the three stick to approximate form, they'll score roughly four points each, so Southampton need to score ten - that's three wins and a draw.

Huddersfield do have a bit of a mince run-in, but they play Everton (who are rubbish) and Chelsea and Arsenal who may well be on the beach by then with no way to catch up to the team above or be caught by the team below. Manchester City will hurt them, but they'll have already met their 100 goal target so Pep may experiment with some younger players to give the first team some additional summer rest before the World Cup. Or he may want to go for the 100pt target. Four points is not impossible there. Palace's run in is easy. West Ham also play Manchester City, but before Huddersfield do, and may face the full force still. And they have Manchester United, who need to win to keep Liverpool at bay.

That leaves Southampton. They also play Manchester City, and if they lose to them, they can't score the 10pt they likely need to pass the other teams - but it's their last game of the season and City might be on the beach as above...

However, they can still catch Swansea City, and Swansea play Southampton on the second-last day of the season. Between now and that fixture, Southampton play Bournemouth and Everton, while Swansea play Bournemouth and Chelsea. Chelsea will still be needing the points to secure fifth and won't have given up hope of catching Spurs in fourth yet - and as the FA Cup final is two weeks later, may not rest players.

That may put Swansea in deep, Solent bobbar, saved only by the fact Southampton couldn't score in a whorehouse and Swansea's own last game of the season is Stoke...
Stoke and Palace were indeed both down (although Stoke only as a result of losing to Palace), Huddersfield scored 2 more points, Palace scored 6 more points and West Ham scored 7 more points. Southampton scored 7 more points - so not six more than Huddersfield/Palace/West Ham, as predicted, and failed to overtake even Huddersfield (who, interestingly, drew with Manchester City who spanked West Ham, as also predicted) and...

... it did indeed put Swansea in deep, Solent bobbar.

Why did I not put any money on any of this?

Congrats to City on winning the league and breaking 100 points

Big congrats to my club, LFC, on cementing ECl for next year, and to Mo Salah on breaking all sorts of records, and winning multiple awards...

- PFA Player of the Year
- Football Writers Player of the Year
- Premier League Player of the Season
- Premier League Golden Boot (only 1 penalty)
- Highest ever goalscorer in a 38 Premier League season.
- One of only 2 players to score 30+ goals and provide 10 assists (alongside Suarez in 13/14)

Just the small matter of an ECL final to go now, and real football ends for a few months :(

Sad day as well with people saying farewell.

Wenger, Britton and Rangel of Swansea, Carrick retiring but will be on the United coaching staff from next season, Commentary legend John Motson voicing his last match after over 50 years.

Even the Invincibles dropped 24 points; 26 wins, 12 draws and 0 defeats.

Thomas Tuchel has been named new PSG manager.

Arsenal are expected to begin the interview process for their managerial position this week, Arteta and Nagelsmann are the favourites right now.

Summer transfer window opens on Thursday.

End of the season is so depressing... 3 months with no proper football :(

Still an FA Cup final and the play-offs to go before the domestic season is over.

At least there's a World Cup this summer.

I said 'proper football' ;)

International football is just so meh... it just doesn't create the same passions as club footy.

I'll watch some of the later stages, but have little interest in England, and will avoid most of the meaningless group matches.

Sounds like you're an England player.

I am English, but watching England play for 40 odd years (on and off) has sucked the enjoyment out if it.

Don't expect them to win big competitions, but it would be nice if they at least played decent, attacking footy.

Won't really be supporting England. I'm just supporting the teams our players play for
