Newcastle twice, West Ham, Blackburn, the list goes on...Try telling that to Wednesday, Sunderland, Coventry, Forest, etc.
Leeds, aston villa.Newcastle twice, West Ham, Blackburn, the list goes on...
Considering two of those are currently in the Premier, you're missing the point somewhat.Newcastle twice, West Ham, Blackburn, the list goes on...
They have been down in recent memory. That is my pointConsidering two of those are currently in the Premier, you're missing the point somewhat.
Try telling that to Wednesday
They are, just after they made a nice, new, huge stadium - but as they're back in the Premier League right now (well... for now), they're not one of the clubs that are "too big to stay down".I think Southampton is another team to have dropped into Tier 3 after being in the Prem.
West Brom still haven't given Darren Moore the gig full time yet. If it is a draw Tuesday I'd say they have a decent chance of staying up with a 5 goal swing needed over Southampton. What is going on with this West Brom team. If the game between Southampton and Swansea finishes in a draw, then they both lose their final games against Man City and Stoke respectively it leaves West Brom able to survive by beating Crystal Palace.
Looking at their fixture list a month ago consisting of fixtures against Man Utd, Liverpool and Tottenham I said they were down already, they got 7 points from those 3 games. I hate to say it but I think with this end of season form they deserve to pinch it. Rather see Swansea stay up personally however.
Even if they do unfortunately go down under Darren Moore the team he has been leading since he took over look pretty decent and I think they'd be playoffs at least. He should get the job full timeWest Brom still haven't given Darren Moore the gig full time yet. Yeah, but how often have we seen a Caretaker manager do a great job in the last few games of a season, get the job full time for the next one and crash and burn within 10 games?
Didn't that happen to Craig Shakespeare with Leicester City? Don't know if it was within 10 games the next season or not but I think that's the most recent one I can think of.
Shakespeare was sacked before the season started. A decision which seemed strange at the time but I think it worked out OK.Didn't that happen to Craig Shakespeare with Leicester City? Don't know if it was within 10 games the next season or not but I think that's the most recent one I can think of.
He was sacked in October 2017, with the club in the relegation zone with 6 points from 8 games.Shakespeare was sacked before the season started.
I was thinking of Nigel Pearson. He was sacked in October 2017, with the club in the relegation zone with 6 points from 8 games.
Max Allegri is interested in the Arsenal job, he will talk to Juventus about his future after the season, as everyone knows Arsenal are making big changes to the backroom structure and Juventus have a similar model to what Arsenal are trying to achieve, so working with one at Arsenal wouldn't be a problem for him.
The challenge for any new Arsenal manager is they need to spend a HUGE amount of money to get competitive again - c.£200 million or so, I would think - and the owners have not exactly shown a lot of intention to spend over recent years.
They've got a few decent players, but there's been no proper transfer strategy in place - they've been panic buying at the end of windows, rather than building a team to a set objective. The team is unbalanced.
Can't see Arsenal getting back to where they were for many years.
