Not arguing with this but I thought the "hybrid" Pescarlo was called that because it was a hybrid of the new and old LMP900/LMP1 regs?

You might be right I thought the G4V had some unit with it but I cant find anything suggesting that, it may just be a naming thing to sound cool or the reason you've given.

Either way the point is hybrids were long on the way to Sport Car racing before the likes of Audi and Peugeot

I didn't say Audi bought hybrids to Sports car racing ( I even acknowledge this), I said they made it a winning technology.

Here's a suggestion: Build better cars, the end :P

Dishonesty to the customers, Lying to the EPA and several similar organizations (which is a big no-no), False Advertising.

Not sure about Pescarolo, but yes Zytek is kinda responsible for bringing Hybrids to Sporstcar racing at all. Point was Catamount was making a silly downplaying response about a certain manufacturer making a winning car using a alternative technology when they've twice made that happen.

Should we bring up that Audi didn't bring diesel to Le Mans or just by pass that?

Never said you did, was just adding a simple comment that basically further supported what you said. Simply put these technologies are in the minds of engineers and builders right at this moment and for years, and the best place to develop and even test it, is on a race track. That's why high end hybrid units from Zytek and Dyson found their way to F1 and Sport car racing. So it's not silly as you suggest to see where Audi is coming from.

If it's more efficient, just as a powerful which the numbers per btu in energy show hydrogen is pretty good if not better then why not actually look forward to it rather than see it as a silly notion.

Again, did not say they Bought it to Le Mans.

Well, people laughed at the Idea of Diesel and look what happened. People weren't even considering hybrids in LMP1 and look what happened. "Drunk" is the last thing I'd call Audi after what they managed with said technologies. I'll just enjoy watching more bitching and moaning and "End of Motorsports" Doom & Gloom topics people make simply because the competition as usual can't build a better car.

I'm well aware of the Lola B2K of Taurus Racing Running with the Caterpiller Diesel.

Again, My point was never to underestimate what Audi could do with alternative technologies.

Unfortunately COTA is the only fully modern FIA Sanctioned facility. Update another track and then we'll have some options. That's why they built COTA. To have a modern race track built in modern times, not an old circuit being updated to fit regulations. Formula 1 races there, hell even Australian V8 Supercars comes to the US for one weekend around COTA because it's a world class facility. Just facts.
Virgin Australia Supercars came for a visit in 2013 and haven't been back since.

So, someone bought up turbos ruining the sound of the Flat-6 (or not sounding as good as the naturally aspirated one). Well:

Honestly, I can't say I agree. Granted this isn't a factory car but still, dem whales tho. It sounds like the modern day equivalent of the Classic turbos. Its even got the classic whistle unique to Porsches.

The key fact is that it is an aftermarket/shop job. Those, more often than not, sound amazing. Because like old gen turbos, they aren't for efficiency. They're for raw amazing power.

I pretty much acknowledged this:

As for everything else, is it that big a difference in sound between efficiency Based Turbos and power based ones? I wasn under the impression it kinda varied depending on who worked on it.

No I know you brought it up, but I was just saying that that's the key fact why the Flat-6 still sounds good in that case. If it was factory there wouldn't be any of the cool turbo noises aside from farts because of the "efficiency" the engineers are obsessed with.
