I don't get why people are shocked it's going on. Everyone wanted it to be like a Ferrari, and the only way GM can truly make it a Ferrari impersonator is to give it the full firey experience.

So... prediction game everyone!

Guess one car that will win for each class (discounting PC)

P: 5
GTLM: 911 (yes 912, you have failed me)
GTD: 33

IMSA's GTLM BoP is on point. And I'll straight admit that RLL actually looked really damn good today in qualifying.

Either the Caddies still need nerfing or WTR is showing tricks they know as the factory team that AXR still have yet to learn. Take out the 10 and everyone else is really close.

Gonna go with this. WTR is the defacto "factory" GM team in IMSA P.

Love that Alegra is seeming like a full-season entry at this point. Remember, they originally were going to be Daytona only. Sitting third in both drivers and teams c'ship!

I think they have something special in their (cough Indycar cough) shock program.
sec 1 -.713
sec 2 -.355
sec 3 -.298
Those are all over the best of either AXR car.

Other than that the rest of the cars are 1.5 sec on ideal lap time, and if you eliminate the bad time from the 70 and the AM driver in the 85 that gap is down to only 1.2 sec.

Imagine is they ran on their original bop. They'd be at least a second or two faster. It'll be interesting to see what lap times they set during the race then compare it to when the WEC visits COTA later this summer. But the 1:54.8 is not far from what Privateer lmp1 did last year in qualifying. Kolles did a 1:54.0 on much better tires.

I swear to God, can't get past ONE flipping corner before a Ferrari takes out a itself, a Ford and a Corvette. :banghead:

Edit: Ford helped the Ferrari, Briscoe you're a ****ing tool.

I kinda like COTA, but it's more challenging/fun to drive (video game of course lol) than fun to watch I'll agree. Kinda like Catalunya in a way.

Two words to describe COTA (short description):

It's. Horrible.

Is it me or does it seem like the track was drawn out by a 4-year-old and somehow made its way into reality?

It doesn't come off as drawn by a four year old, but it does show us what certain legendary corners would feel like after being neutered.

Same here, I love driving it in racing games, but can't get into watching the racing. I'm guessing it's similar in real life as drivers seem to enjoy racing there (It's pretty much the only reason PWC goes there as evidenced by the larger than normal fields).

Sector 3 is the technical section with yes, many low speed corners, but there is lots of room for overlap and side by side. Just watch the Caymans in the Continental Series race. The track has low, medium, and high speed turns, they're just not spread out. Sector 1 is the medium to high speed esses, sector 2 has the back straight and some stuff, and then I mentioned sector 3 already.

Time for another DPI VR BoP change XD
There's zero reason to BoP the car. Not when it's just one team. AXR was in the mix with everyone else. If you look at all the session results, outside of the WTR car there was always a non-Cadillc between it and the next Cadillac.

Last thing I wanna see is team specific BoP like we saw in the ALMS with ESM.

Exactly. For crying out loud is nobody paying attention to the fact that it's literally just WTR that's being so OP with this Cadillac?

Where the hell were AXR the whole race? Having a proper bout with the competition. Because the Cadillac is not cheating BoP, WTR simply know how to use it and have a pair of aces in the car.
