Agreed. I think I may have mentioned this before, but the only races I'll be watching this season by series are:
MENCS:
Daytona 500
Both Talladega races (I'm a sucker for restrictor plate racing, LOL)
Coca Cola 600
Coke Zero 400
The season finale.
Xfinity:
Both Phoenix races
Talladega
The Summer Iowa Race
Road America
Trucks:
Eldora
Talladega

This is pretty much mine:

Cup:
Daytona 500
Sonoma
Coca-Cola 600
Watkins Glen

Xfinity:
Iowa (Both Races)
Mid-Ohio
Watkins Glen
Road America

Trucks:
Eldora
CTMP

Most of My Nascar viewing will be mostly with the lower ranks.

I'll at least start watching the 500, after that I might go see a race or two at TMS, though I'll likely save that trip for IndyCar in the summer.

Nice list. I guess I'll add mine:

MENCS:
Daytona 500
Coca-Cola 600
The two road course races
The season finale

Xfinity:
The Summer Iowa Race
Mid-Ohio
Road America
The season finale

Trucks:
Eldora
CTMP
Talledega
races that I might stumble into:

MENCS:
Daytona 500 (provided they don't ruin it)
Talladega plate races (those will likely be ruined so I guess just the finish?)
Coke 600
Coke Zero 400 (same as the 500 above)
Road Courses

Xfinity:
Road Courses (Mid Ohio, Road America, Watkins, etc.)
Plate races

Trucks:
Plate Races, Road Courses

Because it can be boring in Vermont when the other racing series are in between weeks or off, I might watch these:

Cup -
Daytona
Sonoma
Watkins Glen

Xfinity -
Mid-Ohio
Road America
Watkins Glen

Can't stomach the rest with this God awful system.

From what I've read, they're moving all of the permanent grandstands and the start-finish line to the famed "Dogleg" and using the old start-finish line stretch for RV parking.

I heard that they were tearing down the old grandstands because they were about to collapse, which would have led to a major lawsuit against the speedway.

My big question about it is whether these changes to the track will help improve the racing.

I'm afraid of what will happen with the switch from the last corner being turn 1/2. I may be wrong but I think the flatter 3/4 lends to better finishes.

So Phoenix becomes a slight D-oval that leans more toward a regular one, and in the process has lost much of it's remaining uniqueness.

I do get moving things around for reasons, Darlington did it and it's worked out, but I hope it doesn't make the racing bland.

I was just about to purchase a ticket for a 1 hour private session with Kyle Busch at Kern County Raceway (which is only about an hour and a half from where I live) in a couple weeks but the ticket was $195. No thanks lol

Not a fan of the big section of asphalt they're leaving in the new 3&4. At least rip up the tarmac and plant some grass, or keep the pit lane were it is. That's a major eyesore IMO.

If I had to hazard a guess, they're probably planning to put the race sponsor logos there for the TV broadcast. Not that it makes it look any better, but it's the only real reason I can think of for having that there.

"Its like Joan Rivers and all 350 of her plastic surgeries. They keep throwing it under the knife and hoping its appealing to Bill Smith in suburbia. But all we see is a totally doctored mess."

"It all started with the chase for the cup in 2004. Which began the trend of, 'If it ain't broke, bash the **** out of it with a hammer and emulate the remains."
XD

Jokes aside, how come that man hasn't taken control of NASCAR?

Welp.... 🤬. Danica no longer has Nature's Bakery promoted on her twitter. Her prof. pic, her background and bio all now ONLY have Taxact

Nature's Bakery and SHR were still in talks about 2017 sponsorship last I read.

If they won't be around, that's too bad. Those free fig bars they handed out at races weren't bad.

For some strange reason, I thought about this and, while playing Dirt Rally, thought; You know what could go in all this empty space and be super entertaining, a Rallycross track!

They ran out of money.

A little shocking considering they weren't paying much to actually be on the car to begin with.

Regardless, SHR is sticking with Patrick at least through this season

Basically the diecasts of the NB car are gonna become novelty items if it happens

I am a die hard NASCAR and IndyCar fan. On that note, for any NASCAR fan looking for a non gimmicky racing series you should tune into the Verizon IndyCar Series. The best racing in the world and it continues to get better and gain momentum. Either way I am excited for Daytona!

Rallycross, short course, and Monster Jam already got me but Indycar can be pretty cool when it sets its mind to it
