#50 busted a wheel in half last night, took a while to get the car going after some clean up in the pits.
I was watching when they busted the wheel. They went down 3 laps, but had worked back to 5th in class, just 1 lap down. That was at the FCY for the rain last night.

They now sit in 21st in class, close to 100 laps down...what happened??

Edit: 131 laps down :(

Damn, I wanted to sleep for about 6-7 hours...ended up sleeping for nearly 10 hours! At least we have 4 hours to go.

One of the Caddies off.

69 should get a penalty for that.

Thats what I get for looking at the TV instead of the stream. A interview was on TV and not racing.

FIRE FIRE FIRE!!! #55 Mazda on fire in the pits.

Differet topic - tire warmers. I'm against them. They're fine for F1 and WEC, but I enjoy the series that don't use them. It's great to see the guys wrestling the cars on the outlaps, and it's another aspect to play into the strategy. I understand that there's a safety aspect, but these guys are supposed to be top drivers (once PC is gone)...Super GT manages to run multi class, with high DF prototypes and GT3s, with no tire warmers. I think it's just something the guys who are used to them need to get adjusted to. And I think this particular race is a rare circumstance.

Don't think this series has them either with everybody screaming about cold tires. :P

Starworx. I know that it's Starworks, but the x is more fitting because x marks the spots that the Starworks PCs have went off (frankly, that's just about anywhere on the track).

I wonder if the R26B would be allowed to run in the series. If IMSA allows it, Mazda should see if it's viable since the AER still clearly doesn't work.

There was discussion over night about them using tire warmers in special circumstances. When the DPi cars were on cold rain tires in the wet they were downright dangerous and almost impossible to drive.
