I can't recall at the moment, but does the LM24, WEC etc run their cautions like this? As in, extended out so all the classes get a turn to pit? It just seems like an awfully long time under yellow.
No, then again most American tracks are smaller than ones in Europe/Asia.

My setup for the whole night! :D

Sorry, I meant after a safety car.

Remember the drama at Le Mans a few years back, where GT cars would effectively gain or lose a lap depending on where the leader was when the caution came out?

As in, you could have 3 cars nose to tail, 1st place GT, Prototype leader, 2nd place GT and if a safety car came out, the 1st place GT would effectively gain a lap.

In Super GT, after a safety car, they line up all the cars in their own classes so that none of that stuff matters and everyone is back where they should be.

I only caught the end of the restart, but it looks like they had them sorted rather than mixed up?

I will say that to this point race control is far better this year than it was last year. IMSA still has 20 hours that they could make bonehead decisions, but they so far seem to be hitting major violations with a big stick this year instead of playing the deer in the headlights game when it comes to rules enforcement.

It's a good thing you guys playing the drinking game don't have to drink every time they say Jeff Gordon...none of you would make it through the race!
