Apart from like 6 teams most of Spains league is just as bad as France, Just that there is no real rival to PSG.

No.

There are like 6 teams that have the standard positions in the league and therefore travel into Europe, but there are at least 15 that can hold their own against most of Europe. Just like the Premier League. Standard teams going into Europe, league filled with performers.

If you want to compare the French league, I'd say Germany. 2-4 powerhouses and then it goes down faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaast.

Even comparing the French league to the German league is kind of a bad comparison. Bayern pretty much equals PSG, but past that I'd say the talent in Germany far surpasses that of France.

Try Scotland

One good team (Celtic) who can't perform in Europe against a load of alsorans.

Sounds like the French league

I wasn't comparing talent, just clubs. Talent is moot in a time when clubs buy before letting their own youth play.

That sounds better, yes. But, unlike PSG, or perhaps Bayern/Dortmund, Celtic sucks ass compared to the majority of clubs in Europe.

Nothing I have seen from the Bottom half of La Liga says these teams are quality, if anything Germany has more quality in the lower half of the ladder.

Regular smashings of 4 or 5 nil by the top teams is Rubbish.

Although Monaco is getting ruined by Henry, they would be a decent position in any league in Europe in previous seasons, same I would say the same with Lyon, but most of France is Garbage.

Granted the Premier league has also been Garbage this season in the lower end, panic buys once a team gets promoted can do that.

The Gaps between the Top and Bottom half of leagues in Europe has been getting bigger every season, Germany would be an exception due to how those teams are run with the 50+1Rule but it means some good teams just randomly turn to crap in some seasons.

Watch it over the last decade. It's no coincidence that the Champions League and the Eurobleh League finals were basically Spanish playgrounds.

And that will eventually lead to massive changes or a sudden collapse in football.

Blame the Bosman Rule, big teams in Pub leagues have been decimated since the mid 90s.

Look at the Clubs that have done well in Europe in La Liga though they are generally always the same sort of teams occupying the top half of the ladder, the TV structure of Spain is incredibly flawed how all the money goes to Barca and Real and they share money with teams that play with them, it's a Miracle Atleti has been able to compete with them with this flawed Money distribution.

Sure it looks good when you see Barca and Real at the top end of the richest teams list but it's at the expense of the rest of the league.

Oh no doubt about that, but still, you need stiff competition most games to get better, which La Liga provided. Otherwise you turn out to be PSG. Good, but just not good enough for the CL.

Here's the games for the Premier League this week.

Tuesday
Arsenal v Cardiff
Fulham v Brighton
Huddersfield v Everton
Man United v Burnley (8pm)
Newcastle v Man City (8pm BT)
Wolves v West Ham

Wednesday
Bournemouth v Chelsea
Liverpool v Leicester (8pm BT)
Southampton v Crystal Palace
Tottenham v Watford (8pm)

BT have got both the TV games, kick-off are either 7.45pm or 8pm.

Here's one for you:

Denis Suarez is set to join Arsenal. He has six months left on his Barcelona contract. Denis Suarez has just signed a new Barcelona deal until 2021 and Arsenal have agreed to loan him with the view of a €25 million transfer in the summer.

Why sign a deal with the club you're leaving? So he retains a transfer value and Barca can get paid. Otherwise he'd leave for nothing.

Very bizarre why Suarez himself would agree to that.

Erm...

Man City scored after 24 seconds, and then proceeded to lose to Newcastle!
Man United got away with it, scoring two late goals to salvage a 2-2 draw against Burnley.
Fulham beat Brighton 4-2.

What an odd day

Dang it. That's twice in a row I've lost the NBC predictor picks on the first day.

Lethargic performance by United, missed Martial badly I thought, got away with one.....but only just!

The title is Liverpool's to lose now, great day for Newcastle after beating City and looks like they are breaking their 13 year transfer record in signing Atlanta United's Miguel Almiron for around £20 million.

Superb comeback from Fulham, from 0-2 down at half time to winning 4-2, still five points of safety with some of the teams above them to play tomorrow, but a badly needed win for them.

Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez to join Arsenal on loan for the rest of the season.

Ched Evans is trending on Twitter again, because it looks like Sunderland are signing him...

... although that's not the exclusive reason he's trending, and on both counts it's not going well.

Another odd day in the Premier League

Liverpool failed to capitalise on Man City's capitulation and drew 1-1 with Leicester
Fernando Llorente managed to score in the correct goal, and actually got the winner for Tottenham over Watford
Oh, and Chelsea lost to Bournemouth 4-0

6-1 comeback at Camp Nou. The PSG official account currently getting more mentions from people than when they win Ligue 1.

Not to mention Juventus lost 0-3 to Atalanta.

Tough night for Nantes tonight as they had their first home game since former striker Emiliano Sala's disappearance, they had a minutes applause in the ninth minute (Sala's shirt number) for which the ref stopped the game so the players could take part, some Cardiff fans made the trip over for the match and unfurled the banner they had for the Arsenal match and the Nantes manager looked visibly upset at one point during the match.

All this comes after the authorities that are searching for the plane and its passengers have said today that they have found two seat cushions on a beach in Normandy that they believe are from the plane.

Not a huge amount happening on the deadline day, but here's the latest.

Newcastle have signed Miguel Almiron from Atlanta United a club record £21 milllion
Newcastle have also signed Antonio Barreca from Monaco on loan
Arsenal have signed Denis Suarez on loan from Barcalona
Marouane Fellaini has passed medical and is on route to China ahead of permanent move to Shandong Lueng.
Wolves have signed Jonny Otto from Atletico Madrid following a successful loan spell.
Monaco's Youri Tielemans is set to join Leicester with Adrien Silva going the opposite way.
Peter Crouch is joining Burnley permanently.

That's about it for the more major stuff, there some other things happening but its mostly Premier League players joining Championship clubs on loan, away from deadline day Anthony Martial has signed a new deal at Man united until 2024. 👍

I agree, very lethargic performance. But the winning streak wouldn't last forever, perhaps most didn't expect it to end against Burnley. It shows how far some players in our squad are from United players, they aren't all bad players, they just struggle to play fast counter attacking football.

Mata being a prime example, fantastic player, great guy, but he's never been quick, and he seems to have lost a yard of pace this season. I thought Burnley were unlucky to end up dropping 2 points, at the same time I was happy we threw everything at them towards the end and rescued a draw, but that's football.

Our next couple of matches will be telling for Ole, will this prove to be an unusual blip (this kind of thing happened under Ferguson from time to time after all) or will he struggle to lift the players up and get the positive reaction he will want. Hopefully the former and I'm, confident he will.

Martal signing a new 5 year contract is brilliant, need De Gea to sign next.

Copa del Rey draw:

FC Barcelona - Real Madrid CF
Real Betis Balompié - Valencia CF

Matches to be played on 6th and 7th of February, and the second-leg to be played 27th and 28th of February.

Fellaini has left United to join CSL side Shandong Luneng for £10 million.

He was never really a United standard player but he always gave it a 100% in every appearance and he did get us some goal winners and got us out of a hole a few times when thrown on as a 'plan B'.

Here are this weekends games.

Saturday
Brighton v Watford
Burnley v Southampton
Cardiff v Bournemouth (5.30 BT)
Chelsea v Huddersfield
Crystal Palace v Fulham
Everton v Wolves
Tottenham v Newcastle (12.30 Sky)

Sunday
Leicester v Man United (2.05 Sky)
Man City v Arsenal (4.30 Sky)

Monday Night
West Ham v Liverpool (8pm Sky)
