Another great finish. Shocked it took Harvick this long to get a win.

Great run by DiBurrito, and great run (and rebound) by Newman.

That finish was NASCAR at its finest. Another video I’ll use when people try to argue that racing isn’t a contact sport. They hit each other, but no one was getting wrecked.

The whole race was good as well, much better than last week.

Well done, Ryan Newman - you graduated from the same place as Neil Armstrong, but weren't unfortunately blessed with brain functions of the same quality. Ironically, Austin Dillon is the sane one of the bunch. Maybe this calls for some dabbing on the haters.

Harvick's car for Pocono Raceway.

I hear Polyphony did the engine sound effects for that video

I love the design on the drivers side though, take all the meme stuff off of it and it would make a great regular paint scheme. Harvick and Busch have been all about the asymmetrical paint scheme this year.

Heck, leaving the memelord stuff on there wouldn't even be that bad since it's pretty well integrated into the overall design. I usually dislike how some cars have gotten overly busy designs since wraps became the norm, but given the '80s was all about that look it works well.

I don't see any issue in having the cars who crashed in race 1 starting up front.

I don’t think anyone wants all the slow cars up front though, including those teams themselves. They start at the back by choice most weeks.

Personally I’d like to see the Race 1 winner pick a number out of a hat to determine how many cars get inverted, that way it can’t be taken advantage of. Since you know someone about 21st in points in a “must win situation” will manage to end up last on the lead lap deliberately.

Either that or go by fastest race laps from the first race.

Starting 1st in a 350 mile race isn't going to be some huge advantage that results in a cheap win. They can't block for the lead at Pocono for 2 laps, let alone 140 laps. It's a WIDE track.

Wrecky Stenhouse earned his stripes today. Can’t make much more of a boneheaded move than wrecking someone on purpose on the straightaway in the middle of a pack of cars

Yeah okay, I don’t see a single valid reason why he is still allowed on this sub (and site in general really). Whether it be a poor trolling effort, or a genuine mental health issue causing him to make these remarks, I can’t find any level of worthiness that brought to any discussion.

I watched the whole thing, and it was a thing of beauty, having everything in perfect proportion. Kyle amazed, Almindinger done himself proud, Cindric had an epiphany, and the cream of the Xfinity field performed on cue at an incredibly great venue. Glorious stuff.

Man, what is it with NBC? Every race they've covered this year has been fantastic!

Chase Elliott pulls off a dominate performance at Watkins Glen, holding off Truex for the second year in a row!

Also, Matt DiBenedetto get's another 6th place finish!

Today was the day everyone decided to stand up to Kyle Busch, whether he deserved it or not. What he did to Byron was silly, how is it Byron’s fault that Kyle spun out while trying to pass him? But now Byron knows that running into someone under caution on lap 20 is equally silly and cost him a top 10 finish.

Cup race was entertaining, but the effects of the aero package were pretty evident. Dirty air absolutely killed Truex’s ability to actually race Chase. Xfinity was much better because of lack of said aero package.

I think it’s just the summer since the quality of F1 races has vastly improved the last 2 months as well.

Byron’s spotter should have told him Kyle was there on account of it being early in the race. There is plenty of room on that turn that that shouldn’t have happened. But whatever about Bubba and Kyle.

Why have they been singing "Oh Canada" in the opening ceremonies?

They always sing Oh Canada at Watkins Glen and Michigan, and I guess they’ve started at Loudon as well. They just don’t usually show it on TV. Just like a lot of tracks do god bless America or whatever and it’s not shown.

At least they’re singing it in English.
