Wow, they managed to conjure up a whole 14 cars! NASCAR is sure to reverse course after that showing!

14 cars, and an airplane!

I heard someone hung a noose above Bubba Wallace’s garage stall. Disgusting. What’s more is it’s totally against what these confederate flag people are claiming when they say it’s about heritage. Very counterproductive to their cause and reinforcing that the stereotype is true. Real question is who done it? Seems like an inside job like employee or track worker. Unacceptable either way.

There's a report that someone left a noose hanging in Bubba Wallace's garage this afternoon.

If it's a team member, he's fired. If it's a track worker, he's fired AND Talladega should have to educate their employees on how to be human beings.

Wow that's crappy. I hope they catch the guy(s). I would think it would have to be an inside job too. I doubt any of the however many fans, had pit passes.

I went looking on twitter, couldn't find any pictures.

Fans were barred from the garage area due to COVID-19, so if it's a fan, he will be fortunate if he's just banned from ever entering a NASCAR event again.

Banning the Confederate battle flag is not setting well with some.

MF'n Alabamians everyone. There's a reason I hold them up as the worst. That said, this person clearly hasn't watched NASCAR in 10 years

WTF?! Obviously this is a track employee, and I hope they get outed and fired

This stinks of a publicity stunt to get Nascar and Bubba on TV. The politicians will stoop to any depths possible to arouse hatred in an election year. I wouldn't be surprised if George Sorros didn't arrange all of this crap at the Race track.

The thing I find bizarre is how NASCAR publicized this themselves and released a statement before anyone else knew about it, this is the first time I can remember and maybe in the history of the sport that the sanctioning body has willingly released something that will create negative publicity. Pretty much any other time something has happened whether it was the Kevin Ward incident or Brian France/driver DUIs or Larson’s thing, NASCAR usually tries to pretend it didn’t happen or reacts days after the fact. Just find it odd how they immediately made something public which will confirm a lot of people’s preconceptions about the sport.

I imagine they must have talked to Bubba first and asked if he wanted to say something about it and figured they’d look even worse if he spoke out and they stayed silent.

I'm not about to jump from "I wonder who done it?" to full blown George Soros, qanon, JFK Jr is the real president, COVID-19 was a fake virus because the elite are in jail for pedophiilia conspiracy theory.

Not to mention how far it would spin out of control if neither they or Bubba brought it up right away, and it was relayed to the press with secondhand or incomplete information. I can think of at least a couple dirtbag media sources who would jump at the chance for an "Attempted lynching at NASCAR race" headline.

They're likely still smarting after the whole Kyle Larson incident not two months prior too, and decided addressing it head on was the only sensible thing to do. Which it is, really.

NASCAR has asked the FBI to look into the incident.

I know that racists/generally hateful people tend not to think before they act anyways, but considering how small the potential suspect pool is due to current restrictions, the person who did this just has to be the biggest dumbass in the world.

Completely agree with you 100%. And that's why I think it was a publicity stunt. Someone that would do this isn't smart enough to work at a Nascar track.

I'm still waiting on my Soros check after virtue signaling successfully on Twitter. Idk, maybe he hasn't noticed yet?

You think NASCAR would get the FBI involved over a publicity stunt? Especially considering how much positive attention the sport has been getting recently?

Someone that would do this isn't smart enough to work at a Nascar track.

You seriously underestimate both how stupid people can be, and how widespread stupid can be/is. Kyle Larson is a good example of that.

Nascar said that if it gets postponed tomorrow again, NOW it will be at Noon.

If they and Fox were intelligent enough they would've done a noon start today instead but nah they think a second straight 3pm start is a brilliant ratings idea.

Rain delay again. It's almost like nature doesn't want NASCAR to stay here. And frankly given everything that has gone down, I am inclined to agree

Blaney's pants are probably light brown at the moment.

Both the 21 & 43 are 9th and 10th respectively. I doubt they'll be contenders for the win, but I'd love/hate to see those two battle it out.
