Biggest, brightest, and most expensive? What is random about these? All carefully selected based on their size, colour and cost.

I have. He usually blows by but on occasion I have managed to keep him behind for a lap.Have you not met @GOTMAXPOWER before?
So I rented a truck and went with it.
It was tough to get a result last night, in the end I finished with just 50 points.

It's the Tundra. What was the first car, it looked smashing! I'm afraid most of us have forgotten that in the end it's about having fun sometimes. Just enjoy yourself in the Tundra or give the Lancia a spin. Cudoos to you for going this route!
Yes, all cars of the same model receive the same tune when BoP is applied.I have a question: was there a specific configuration to tune the Toyota SF-R to, to meet the N300 requirement? I wonder if I didn't adjust the weight/power in the right way for my car that I was at a disadvantage?
I know the real answer is likely that no, I just stink, but I really can't understand why I was nearly a second off the pace and completely overwhelmed by drivers in the same car, when I have the pace to compete in other situations, at least not nearly as bad as that one.
But I get nervous when I have to adjust a car to meet the regs, if there are any different ways to do it.
I think @Jwptexas will be happy with last night. He got his long awaited revenge on me from Fuji lol. But I'm also happy because when it mattered on the super smash stage I didn't get swallowed up by @GTWolverine 's Kirby
Anyways I tried all the cars (even Ferrari F50 which I kind of liked the most out of the actual cars) but the S-FR I was the most consistent in terms of lap times and consistently in the sub-1:04's so that was my choice.
Slot 1: Just a lot of traffic in qualifying and although I had a good lap time of a 3.3 it was only good for 7th :/ While I did lose out in the beginning to the better launchers I made up for it along the way. Didn't really remember much other than finishing 5th and some good points. But I assessed the risk and felt I could do a little better.
Slot 2: I was towards the front for qualy which was ideal for me. Had a little bit of slip but not sure how much that actually helped. Went wide on the last turn and just yeeted it on the grass. That was shockingly good enough for pole. While that was great........ Odd numbers started on the outside line and I had 2 M4's right behind me . I couldn't really cover them off even if I wanted to. I knew I was going to lose at least one spot but two was very likely. All I could really do is just nail the first corner, have the outside momentum and hopefully keep 2nd. Lordini was very VERY respectful. We had a slight touch but he could have very easily yeeted me off so I have to give 👍👍👍👍👍 to him and his craft. I did manage to keep 2nd. For awhile I was just holding onto Texas's tail but then Applepop, who've been practicing with all week leading up to this eventually found his way behind me. I knew it was only a matter of time. Sure enough I made a huge error on the first hairpin and he was right there. After the 2nd he was right behind me. I knew I didn't have a prayer so I just let him go and took solace with 3rd. Had a huge gap behind me so I just took it home. Best of the SF-R's that race.
I thought about doing 3rd slot and potentially being in a depleted top split with not so many points, but I weighted the risk if I would gain more than 242 points. I decided it was not and cashed out for the night. While I only gained a whole 5 points (ooooooooooooooo) I did gain from the 2 races almost 2k DR. Which is now adding to my dilemma if I should even bother with Manu with the Aston + SA on Saturday
Have you watched any guide or maybe the replay of one of the top 10 times in FP?I have a question: was there a specific configuration to tune the Toyota SF-R to, to meet the N300 requirement? I wonder if I didn't adjust the weight/power in the right way for my car that I was at a disadvantage?

I'm actually typically much faster in N- cars compared to Gr3 and G4. My effective K' speed score is over 80 compared to 73 for Gr.3, for example. I really just don't know what I'm doing so wrong there. I have most trouble with the 'point and shoot' tracks where it's just long straights. RBR, Tsukuba, LeMans.Have you watched any guide or maybe the replay of one of the top 10 times in FP?
Those N class cars need to be driven in a rather different way than Gr.4 and above. Especially gear shifting. For example, upshifting just too soon or too late can already make quiet a difference, a few tenths a lap! You have to keep the momentum at all cost because the torque is too weak at low speed.
I tend to be much more competitive in those cars because I have a better understanding of how they work (I believe). Yesterday I had the fastest pace in the room against guys that would typically outperform me in any of the sports cars... Interesting for sure!

Well, must have something to do with corner exit speed thenI'm actually typically much faster in N- cars compared to Gr3 and G4. For me there's more to gain by braking sooner for the corkscrew SP I can get on the gas sooner coming outTried a load of laps at Laguna Seca last night in the Jaaaaaaaag. Took a while to get my turning points right and stop bouncing off the kerbs, but once I did I managed to bring my lap time down to a 1:27:6XX, which I'm fairly happy with so far. I definitely feel like there could be more to gain from braking marginally later at the corkscrew and carrying more speed through Turn 6 (can't seem to hit it at more than 147kph).
Then ran a simulation race to see what the softs are like on tyre life. I managed 12 laps before they started dropping off, so a 12S/8H is possible, but I was only losing around 1.2-1.5s/lap on the RH tyres - not enough to make up for the 40s pit stop... As has been noted before, this looks like a RH sprint race, only this time without needing to worry about fuel!
I was experimenting with early braking there and maybe braking too early, hence the marginal delay might be beneficial. I tend to jam on the brakes JUST before the kerb on the right starts, but thinking I should get to that kerb before hitting the anchors. For me there's more to gain by braking sooner for the corkscrew SP I can get on the gas sooner coming out
If I only knew why my corner exit speed was off, then... I just can't figure it out.Well, must have something to do with corner exit speed then
Btw how do you sort you K' score by category? I don't see the option on KP.
I was going to give last night a pass. The last few Nation's Cup's have been shockingly dirty, and in general, just a chaotic mess. I was watching @BasicOllie and someone made a suggestion......And I ran with it. View attachment 1016596
Since I was expecting a slamfest, I thought, "Hey, why not use a vehicle that weighs about twice as much as the Moon?" So I rented a truck and went with it. To be clear, any one that was racing clean and in a sportsman like fashion, I let through without fighting. I drove as cleanly as I could, and was respectful of the good drivers. The dumbnuts that tried to push, slam or pit me off were invariably run off through the expedient of sticking to the race line and letting them bin themselves. Started near to last, ended 14th, and honestly had fun for the first time in a while. Hope someone gets a chuckle out of it, besides me.

To be clear, a negative BB is moving the balance forward (fronts do more braking), and a positive BB is moving the balance backward (rears do more braking), so BB+1 would be 1 click to the rear from neutral balance.See some having trouble with the corkscrew, I was really mucking it up and couldn't work out what was wrong. Then I changed the BB and it became clear, set too far back the front tyres weren't getting any grip and I was losing at least 0.5 every lap and going off because of it too. Going to set it to +1 and hope the fronts live to the end, if I had a wheel changing on the fly might be possible, but on a controller I lose more time than I gain when I try stuff like that. Hoping for good clean races today, just wish they could make the races a bit more interesting. Twice the length, stupid tyre requirements, really high wear or fuel. just stuff so you have to strategize a little not just go hards is best no stop 9 times out of 10.
