I believe that is the advantage of independent suspensions.I just don’t understand the physics. The oldder cars have tighter suspensions and the newer cars‘, are more like jell-o.
or disadvantage. The older cars really well for 50yo suspension technology.I believe that is the advantage of independent suspensions.
Throwing the plymouth around is the most fun I've had on GT sport for ages. Probably wont be with tyre deg on though haha.A couple runs with the MiTo(8:21.515) and Demio XD(8:22.343). Peg-leggin' in the MiTo is fun.
MiTo maxes out at redline 151mph/6th. Could get the XD to 141mph in 5th. MiTo gearing is too quick for the XD to match, but the XD has an LSD, for that ridiculous amount of torque.
MiTo dives and squats everywhere. XD is so composed and mature.
Both fun to drive. 👍 Shame the Fit can't come out to play(PD are so cruel with the Level Up for the Honda).
Edit: 8:17.284(crashed into the Armco at one point) in the Plymouth. 166mph before braking. It's like driving a bathtub. Tyres are soooo skinny.
Edit2: Aww, boooooooo. Was up 3 seconds in the Plymouth and went off at the penultimate corner.
I despise the S-FR on this track. The GT40 is good, but I have found the 996 and the F50 to be just as fast in my hands. At the moment I think I will run the 996 because I'm more consistent in it.Well I tried everything, trusty Mazda roadster, TVR, Z8, Mustang, E-Type, Dodge and Corvette, Z8 was best, but not good so I gave in and tried the GT40....it's not even close, the S-FR might suit some but not me, there is a huge advantage to using this. I did 3 laps and every one was better than my best optimal time with other cars and I knocked nearly 10 secs off my best time. Hate to use the META, but sometimes you just have to accept that there really is one choice here
Unfortunately I don't think it canI need to see if the MINI Cooper S can be tuned to 246bhp.
Unfortunately I don't think it can
Tried the F50 and got a slightly better time, but slightly worse optimal. I sucked with the 996.I despise the S-FR on this track. The GT40 is good, but I have found the 996 and the F50 to be just as fast in my hands. At the moment I think I will run the 996 because I'm more consistent in it.
I tried the F50 and didn't even finish a full lap. I just seemed to understeery for me, which is weird considering that it's a MR car.Tried the F50 and got a slightly better time, but slightly worse optimal. I sucked with the 996.
So will run a proper race with tyre wear for the F50 and GT40 then just pick the best, thinking the F50 as it did feel really good and you don't have the problem with such a long 1st gear.
My plan is to go with the GT40 and park it on the apex so that I can hold the position until the power helps me keep the positions on the straights. Back up the entries a bit, and drive off the turns using all of the track. It will all come down to a good qualifying lap and keeping it on the tarmac in the race from there.I tried a few cars tonight to see if there was an alternative option for me. The GT40 which is supposed to be one of the better options around here is almost 15 seconds off the pace in my hands compared with the S-FR, which is a shame as I love the sound of that thing and it's a nicely balanced car considering.
The Porsche 996 was like driving to drive a boat here, which surprised me as the last time I drove it at Laguna Seca it was brilliant.
The Yaris GR is a decent all round car, but doesn't seem to respond well with the tyre option this week.
The M4 was okay, but a bit too unstable for my style of driving here through the long sweeping curves.
Guess I'll go with the S-FR as although I know I'll get murdered on the straights, if I can keep it between the white lines I'll have a chance to pick off others when they fall off.
My plan too. It's about as wide as the track too so they are going past on the grass. My plan is to go with the GT40 and park it on the apex so that I can hold the position until the power helps me keep the positions on the straights. I also like how well the brakes work in the corners, along with that massive front end grip... seems to be an advantage in the race, when you have to get a bit creative or compensate for a mistake. My plan too. It's about as wide as the track too so they are going past on the grass.
I've done that before. Don't think a little grass is going to scare me.My plan too. It's about as wide as the track too so they are going past on the grass.
This will be why I'm memeing it up in the trucks. I"ll be a sitting duck on the straight but I've got surprisingly decent speed through a lot of the track otherwise. And passing in the grass will be fine as long as I dont get the track cut penalties since that's the only penalty PD seems to have left in the gameI've done that before. You most likely won't be reset either. Just sucks you'll gain about 10 seconds, but lose 40 seconds, while you serve and get back up to speed. This will be why I'm memeing it up in the trucks. As always, this site has come up with the goods. The feedback I got has now seen me get the F50 around the track in sub 8 minutes. I’ve had both the GT40 and 996 on track for 7:56 laps and ruined the last couple of sectors. This included running off track on the last chicane in the 996.
I’m still nowhere near challenging the best drivers, but at least I now feel confident enough to enter.
This is why I'm shopping for Itasha livery. Might as well give them something entertaining to look at on the rear tailgate. I'm almost as fast as everything else up until the back straight. Then it goes into park instead of top gear as the thing seems to top out at 125mph there.I thought about this strategy for a while. The Tundra feels really easy to drive and will be a nightmare to try and pass anywhere but the long straights. You are going to frustrate everyone who ruins qualifying or goes off track early on. It will be great fun.
