Has PD recognized their mistake at least? Any posts from their staff or anything? It's not mentioned anywhere but here I believe...

Or maybe the PD staff is still watching the replays, locked in a basement, and haven't slept for 3 days trying to recalculate points from all players who raced that night, who knows. But I doubt it. Any info on this would be appreciated. Thanks

I'd settle for one car of my choice, including the LeMans Livery Gr1 Audi.... you hear that PD? All that raced Nations last Saturday get a car choice!!! I can wish can't, I? So tired of waiting on the wheel of disappointment lottery to hit.

Nope, nothing, I'd be surprised if we get anything from them, even a simple tweet would be too much to ask.

Tried a few test laps in the Mazda last night on the Mountain. That thing can brake SO late it's almost uncomfortable! I'm so used to braking at least 50m earlier on almost every single turn that it feels like it's just going to go pear-shaped; then it turns like a beast and monsters the corner! If I can come to terms with the insane handling I might be able to cut some time out of the 6 sec gap to the leaderboard!

been practicing Lago Maggiore II, and getting used it by now, improved my lap with about a second, but not sure if i can actually be competitive there. Still to big of a difference in my laptimes, so need more practice to get more consistent, find the track very difficult, especially the final part.

Got a feeling that the coming Manu race is one that many will pass on, but i want to give it a try, even though I am not really liking this track. issue is that today I have been asked to do an evening shift on wednesday , as more colleagues are sick or suffering burn out. So can only do the 1500 hrs slot...now glad that it is already at that time.

I have made a new livery (still WIP), dedicated it to 'Support Casper', a foundation that raises money for the research and treatment of pancreas cancer. Doubt that my livery in an obscure platform like a GT FIA race will actually raise any money or awareness, but one never knows...

Good luck to all who are competing tomorrow!!

That livery is awesome! Liking that a lot.

But yeah the Manu race is on Saturday. The Nations race at Bathurst is on Wednesday.

The Nations Miata Mountain race, I can't lie, I like this combo a LOT better than I thought I would. Its pretty intense racing. I am real good everywhere but coming down the mountain. And I am terrible coming down the mountain. Like really really bad. LOL. So, I have this evening to figure that out. Fingers crossed because I'm sending it whether I suck or not.

Manu race, starting to feel out the BMW M6 here. Managed a 30:12.xxx total race time last night, dropping 15 seconds off my previous total best time. Starting on Mediums seems to be the way to go for me. I think this will be a Greddy Pass race. A lot of folks are struggling to stay on course. Myself included. In autocross we'd say don't get behind the cones on this course. That means you need to try and hit the apex with your back inside tire. That will get your front end pointed in the right direction and ready to set up the next fast turn, just like a slalom. Patience is key. If you get behind the cones, meaning you are pointed straight at the apex cone, you will struggle to carry any speed through the turns as you will continue to turn in later and later and have to scrub speed towards the end to make the final turn. If you are patient and backside the apex, you can get on the gas earlier and carry more speed at the end. Always easier said than done, but when you get it right, you feel how much faster it is.

Trying to be nice to the tires will help too. Started tire testing and it's real easy to burn them up quick trying to keep speed if you early enter corners. I'm better on mediums so it might be 7, 6 soft, 2 hard depending on where I quali and how the race flows.

Got my FP down to 53.2 but I'm too white knuckle to quali that in the event. I'll be happy with 53.7 and see what happens. If I can go 55's on softs, 56's on mediums in clean air I think I'll be in good shape for the lobbies I end up in at 45k DR.

Some drama for me heading into tonight's Nations Cup race. I have an FP time of 2:29.3xx and have been mixing it with the aliens in lobbies (well, they haven't been completely obliterating me anyway) and really enjoying the combo. Jumped in to do a practice lobby after work yesterday and my G29 was dead. Pulled it apart and somehow the throttle wire in the pedal set had been crimped. A bit of fiddling and I could get it to power on, but when I fired it up the throttle was permanently fully open.

A quick conversation with the ever-understanding Mrs Dragline and a T300 RS-GT is now my early Christmas present (the only non-rubbish wheel available locally). A bit of practice with the new wheel last night and it is VERY different. The pedals in particular are going to take some getting used to. I've gotten down to a 29.6xx again but have lost a bit of consistency.

Gone from confident about the race to trepidatious in 24 hours. Here's hoping luck is with me.

Hi! Im very excited about todays Nations, this car on this track is just pure pleasure to drive, hoping to score good points:) Yesterday in practice lobby I watch @Zorz doing his laps, and noticed my mistakes, after race I jumped into free practice and improved my time by almost half a second!!! From 2.29,4xx to 2.28,9xx
I wish everybody good luck and good points today:)
BTW hope this round counts...

Ran the Nations lobby first slot. In with some friendly faces and a few slightly iffy ones, but still keen for a good race. Door 15 and qualify way behind on my own so I have clear track and nail my fastest lap of the practice time for p14.

Get a smooth Run on the outside of turn 1 at the start and we settle in to line with me looking ok. I slide a bit into the cutting and there is contact, but one guy lost a spot on me but I have no way to give it back there so race on. Suddenly a guy in front just starts sending it. On anyone at anywhere. Completely misses the braking zone in the chase and still comes back on trying to hold positions and dive into the final corner.
I get into a battle and drop back. Couple laps later still in a good spot when he has a tra k limits penalty. I gamble with a big run on the driver in front and lose. Guy pulls back directly I my path as he unghosts. Knew it was a gamble, but he let's me back by before attempting another wild dive at the chase.
Manage to catch back up and accidentally get the guy in front squirrelly with a tap into the cutting but he gets straight and we all only lose time. I promptly celebrate this by binning it at skyline by not balancing the throttle. Drops me to next to last where I lap out my misery for the entire second half.

I didn't have pace to be up front, but could have been solid in the mid pack. Captain divebomb just made a mess and I let myself get rattled. But with thus combo there was bound to be someone catching misery. At least I scored an utterly useless but nice looking 69 points.

Good racing and good luck all

Edit: ran again. Started p13. Had someone get pit maneuvered right in front of me on the first straight. Dropped me to next next last. Made it back up to p12. Lots of shenanigans and messy driving. Could have easily been top 10, but will take not binning it other than running wide at Forrest elbow once, which cost me a spot. Upped my overall total by 3.
People trying to go 3 and 4 wide on the straights. Strap in, it's crazy out there.

Unfortunately saw @D_Dragline stopped on the side so looks like he had a messy one

I switched to the T-GT (which has the same pedals as the T300) after 8 years on G25 and I didn't like the pedal feel either. It's too spongy and the throttle/brake doesn't differ in resistance like the G25 does. If you can get your G29 pedals fixed, get yourself one of these adapters and use it instead. Might save a few hundred bucks if you don't wanna splurge on a more expensive Thrustmaster pedal set.

Mightnt be any help now but when I pulled apart a malfunctioning G29 there was enough play in the pedal wire that any crimps could be fixed by cutting the crimped section and resoldering it. It might also work as a solution if it ever happens with the thrustmaster (if the guts are similar)

Slot 1 Europe. Disaster.
During practice I noticed a lot of “bogging down” running up the hill with Auto box. Seems my fears were borne out. Seconds of the pace. Tried manual the other day…….hence ran auto today :indiff:
DR hammered. Won’t be running again.

First slot, door 19, q8. Was up to o2 after 2 laps but two Spaniards thought that the Cutting respective the Esses where legit places to pass. And because I am far to nice I didn't run them off so ended up in p11.
Made.it back up to P8 by the very last straight, for the highest score I have had so far in the Nation's (this season)

On lap one I came up behind one of the Spanish drivers in a fight with a German driver I know to be clean. So I bump drafted the German and we both got ahead of the Spanish driver
Unfortunately, inspite of me backing off going through T2 the cold tires betrayed my German friend and he spun.
I was looking forward to us working together the whole way through, but it didn't happen.

But one and done for me

First attempt was the highest rated race I've ever been in. 292 points, #20. Started 12th and made up some places before trying to go up the inside of a known clown at the top of the mountain after he'd been running slow. We touched and he took the opportunity to spin me out. Finished 17th, I think.

Went again and started 13th. Bad start and I think I went down to 19th on the straight before turn 2. Made it back to 13th by the end of the lap, somehow. I think on one of the laps I went down the mountain with my eyes shut as people just died in front of me.

Ended up 9th. Meh. Had a reasonably fun battle with a UAE guy. Not really the track for the car, or car for the track.

Was looking forward to that given people's comments on here but not a great experience overall.

It is a decent enough drive on the circuit, but I'm not sure what happened in the race. Started 5th and quickly moved up to 2nd as I took advantage of some spins ahead and felt I was starting to gain on the leader when it all just started going backwards for some reason. I was just getting caught from behind and passed, and again, and again, until I was running in 8th wondering if I was driving the same car as everyone else. 8th lap and someone loses it going into the last turn and in his 'effort' to come back on track spins me down to 10th and that just put the cherry on an awful race.

Did get to don the JD livery which is always nice though I'm happy to forget this one as soon as possible.

Delighted to back in the Chevy this weekend and will be out for blood at a track I know well.

One and done, and I'm glad for that because my right foot does not appreciate being flat out almost continuously for almost 23 minutes. Ow ow ow...

I really need to get my qualifying together as I had another poor one, well off the 2:28s/low 2:29s that I've been churning out in practice. I set a 2:29.556 which was good enough for P5 though, so not the end of the world. From past experience at Bathurst and a few practice lobbies I knew that Griffins Bend on lap 1 was going to need to be taken a bit gentler than normal due to the extra weight, the slipstream and especially because of the cold Hard tyres. So I broke ever so slightly earlier than usual... and got punted into the wall.

I dropped down to P7 but then all hell broke loose down the mountain in front of me. A German hit a Frenchman through the Esses leading to a spin out. The Dutch driver immediately behind this lost the rear and slid sideways through the Dipper. When the Russian driver behind him/her went past, the Dutch driver then made contact causing another spin out. I was damn lucky because all of this occurred in just the right way for me to cleanly sneak through. Not complaining. :P Then at the end of the lap, the German took too much kerb at Murrays Corner and full sbinalla ensued, so up to P3!

From there it was just holding it together. The 2 in front of me both made mistakes which brought them back to me, but my consistency wasn't good enough to capitalise on it. My best chance came on lap 8 where I was right behind the French driver in P2, but I got Griffins Bend a bit wrong and almost dropped it. Catching up from there was never going to happen.

End result P3 for 195 points - my highest (recorded) score. ;) So close to breaking 200 again but not quite good enough today.
