Looks like a very small amount of runoff considering the entry and mid corner speed.
Unsurprisingly there is a Jeddah mod for AC. Notice the flags and posters around the track.
They've opened up all the corners through there in the hope it does something to improve the section. IMO it should, because there's no way it can be worse.I’m liking the changes to Yas Marina, however the mickey mouse hotel section is still my main gripe.
..and dangerous. I really hope not obviously, but I think the chances of a monumental crash are very high. It's only going to take someone losing the rear on one of the high speed sweepers and countersteering a little too much and they're heading straight into a concrete barrier very quickly. My goodness that track is dull.
It seems that Eau Rouge/Radillion is getting slightly adjusted to make the right more of a corner as part of the modifications to the outer runoff areas.
Well safer in the regard that having a high speed tankslapper at Radillion should be much less likely as they'll be carrying less speed and not as severe a direction change.I don't know about safer (ignorance) but it looks slightly tighter and therefore more of a challenge as a competitive piece of racetrack.
The championship could end up depending on whether this race goes ahead or not. Imagine if Max wins in Qatar with Hamilton 4th or lower, and then this race gets cancelled...Jeddah is still looking like it'll be unfinished, or completed with the bare minimum needed. Masi is going there to find out whether he can pass it or not, in violation of so many FIA regulations on being able to pass it with plenty of time before a race is held there.
F1 chiefs admit work on Jeddah circuit will go "down to the wire"

I guess we will have two races at Abu Dhabi or Qatar in that scenario and I'd have to imagine Saudi Arabia might lose its date in 2022?The championship could end up depending on whether this race goes ahead or not. Neither. Neither is good.I guess we will have two races at Abu Dhabi or Qatar in that scenario and I'd have to imagine Saudi Arabia might lose its date in 2022?
They did at Austria.Possibly another race at Bahrain or even Dubai. Don't believe they would race 2 times on the same track again. But I believe Jeddah will be ready.
