2021 Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4

Watching the live-unveiling, Stephan confirms the car is a hybrid, running a super-capacitor. So, basically a re-skinned Sian.

Edit* Even kept the glass in the roof from the Sian.... Interior is just the Sian as well, no throwbacks to the Countach at all. The car starts off strong and just loses any of the Countach influence it should have as you go backwards. Couldn't have even bothered to put some vents on the bodywork above the rear wheels.

Just a Sian interior? What a rip-off! I'm not buying one now.

Gotta be honest, this is the saddest thing Lambo has done in quite a while. What a cop-out.

I'd really like the front if the lower part of the bumber would be different. The slim, rectangle vent that goes across the whole width of the front and the three trapezial vents directly underneath just don't work for me.

I like it. I like the white. But Countach it ain't.

Lamborghini's designs usually make white work pretty well.

Oh look, an aventador!
They played it safe, and the result is meh...bland IMO. Not a Countach. I bet Marcello Gandini is secretly unhappy with it also. Paolo Stanzani is probably turning in his grave.

Missed opportunities. Yeah I know, this is too old school for some. It's just an example. There are many amazing re-designs out there

1 of the future owners has to at least buy the wheels.

The dish isn't as deep, but I think HRE would be more than willing to engineer a 1-off/custom set to such an owner.

There isn't much engineering involved in bolting new barrels to the same center. Resizing multi-piece wheels is as simple as not doing a crappy seal job in your mom's garage like a true stance boy.

I just can't get into this car no-matter what images and rendered takes/improvements of it I've seen.
I really don't like what's done to the chin spoiler, the NACA duct i was hoping would look more like the original, and the rear light clusters look far too wide for the car (imo).

This render is my favourite for sure!

Car designer Frank Stephenson taking a look at the new Countach and making some design changes. Not sure what to think about his front and side, but I really do like the changes he did to the rear.

The front looks bloody awful. I thought they should have done the rear lights the way Frank has too, but not with the round lights in it.

Totally agree, it's like a pug nose dog now. I prefer the actual Lamborghini design in every way.....am I crazy? I don't mind the tail lights being from the Sian, they look more modern than the round ones.

If you're talking about Frank's redesign, I believe those are actually the exhausts and not lights.

Uhh...that's interesting. Where are the lights? Is it just the outside or is the inside supposed to light up as well by the exhausts?

That weird outside line around the upper, rear of the body.

Frank's re-design looks horrible, imo. I can see where he tried to put more Countach into it like the side profile, but then he just does something else with the rear.

Countachs have been recalled because "rear glass panels that act as a cover for the engine compartment could come apart from the car and fly off. So far, this has only happened to one Countach but still, a pretty embarassing flop for Lamborghini's halo car.

Chevrolet happily welcomes Lamborghini to the club.
