Did Jeremy Clarkson design the livery for the #33 TF Sport Aston Martin?

That #38 car looks like its pasted on the background of that gravel trap and then the tyremarks are done with a photoshop or something.

Any chance Montoya can complete the Triple Crown from LMP2?
Possible (of course) but unlikely unless it rains again IMO.

-

Unfortunate for Jota, looked like a strange off for Davidson - and it's put them almost to the back of the class. Luckily the car isn't damaged and they have plenty of time to recover, but still a pretty big blow nevertheless.

-

Deary me. The Eurosport commentator has just spent the last 2 minutes discussing the #1 Richard Mille car and its all female crew while the cameras are following the #82 Risi car which, for some reason, has a "1" decal on the front of the car

To be fair, they are both all red cars and look similar...

The FIA wec app has an audio option that is in sinc with the add free Eurosport stream.

Huge accident for Marcos Gomes in the #98 AMR.

He seemed to just glide straight over the gravel (possibly because it is still wet?) and slammed into the tyre wall.

Gomes is out of the car at least and looks OK, thankfully...

-

One of the Toyotas was passing Gomes at Indianapolis at that moment, so there's a question as to whether there was contact or not...

edit: The crash is being investigated by the stewards...

That was an LMP2, but a replay shows the Aston lost it on its own.

My wife just kicked me out of the living room and the big screen so I'm now on the computer, seems a little more quiet than usual here this year.

It seems to be common with past endurance races, like Daytona and Nürb, less people watching and/or commenting.

Dunno what is the reason for it.

EDIT: Also, the race itself being a Toyota show for the past few years with no credible challenger to take on them might make the race feel a bit stale. Maybe the return of more manufacturers to challenge Toyota makes things more interesting.

Here in the states our only option is cable, along with all the commercials. I preferred to buy the official stream from the WEC, but at least we get the full 24 hours.

Didn't realise until a moment ago that Quest was only going to show the first and last two hours of the race this year. The funny thing is that the Eurosport feed made no mention of the fact when the first programme slot ended, and I was hoping that there would be more coverage available from them this evening. Turns out that this is not the case and the rest of Quest's programming for tonight consists of cycling, football and repeats.

Will be sure to be back commenting for the 13:00 coverage tomorrow.

The MotorTrend streaming service has it commercial free and if you are new you get a 7 day trial.

Good to know, I pay for cable to get motortrend and NBC streaming for the IMSA series, pretty soon all the streaming services I need are going to cost as much as cable

I was impressed that such a small outfit was going to run with the big dogs, but it doesn't seem like they are quite up to the task now does it?
