Maybe AMS will go back on their decision who knows, all the track needs is a simple repave not a redesign.

Bring back the old Atlanta from the early 90's.
That's what the original plan called for. A return to the oval from the quad oval with the casino being built. Apparently it was scrapped.

Happy raceday! It's pretty cloudy here in Atlanta... not sure if the track is going to be as scorching hot as people have predicted it would be.

Happy to see Kurt in Victory Lane. Has always been a great wheelman. He will find a ride in 2022. But as we all know money runs NASCAR and you will still have guys who cant drive worth a lick out there based on that

I was at the Daytona 500 the year that track surface fell apart. It was ~40°F, not fun.
The Pothole 500 was in 2010, still the only Daytona race I've ever attended (thanks to winning a radio call-in contest that gave 2 tickets, airfare, and a hotel room). I was sitting in the backstretch grandstands, which are now long gone. I got sunburned during the day... because Florida. Once the sun went down, I nearly froze to death, because it was unseasonably cold that one year. That was a very long, very strange race.

Cindric surprised no one, but I didn’t see this one coming, thought Matt would be staying there for sure.

Makes sense though, with Dex Imaging being both a long time partner of Harrison and a Penske sponsor.

Finally this year's worse kept secret is confirmed! Now we just have to figure out where everyone else ends up.

Considering his start to the year I'm not surprised, sure he's turned it around but it seems to be a case of too little too late. Hopefully he can get a competitive ride in one of the 3 top series, I would hate to see him end up in a backmarker again.
