Roush will be making an announcement at the NASCAR HoF on the 20th, I can't imagine what it could possibly be about.

Logano's team pulled a Sterling Marlin and will lose 2 laps for working on the car under the red flag.

Almirola throws a wrench in the standings and wins the Foxwoods Resorts 292. Logano recovers to finish 4th.

Been a fun day of racing at two unexpected places there in Loudon and at Silverstone. Really surprised at Hendrick’s sorta struggles given how much emphasis is given on the results of this race heading into the finale @ Phoenix.

Larsen and especially Prince Chase have their homework cut out.

Really good race. Shame they had to shorten it. (Maybe if they started at noon…) if you had told me at the beginning of this year that Almirola would have a win before Harvick, I’d have thought you were crazy.

Seems like for this weekend at least the Ford teams figured out their issues. Happy for Aric, the last couple races before the playoffs will be very interesting.

I've talked ad nauseum about the stupid start times. I can kind of possibly sort of maybe understand why this one started when it did with the final stage of the Tour de France being on NBCSN beforehand. Or it's just NASCAR being NASCAR having to shorten races unnecessarily due to starting races too late because they never learn.

The rain was an unexpected pop up shower. Without the rain delay, there should have been plenty of time to get the race in as it is one of, if not the shortest race of the year.

Look at other series’s, and even in NASCAR history. Start times have been brought forward to avoid potential inclement weather. Would’ve thought they’d have known rain was coming and had pushed the program along quicker to get more than a few laps before throwing the red flag.

Jack has been stuck in the past for so long that maintaining relevance as an organization has been difficult. Brad K brings current and relevant experience not to mention years under his belt with a top tier Ford. It can only help Roush.

Never thought I'd see a mass production facility for race cars! This is as close to stock as we're going to get. Holy moly

And just as importantly it also takes that experience and skill away from Penske, which will be difficult for them to compensate for with all the other changes going on next year.

Roush has offered Newman a part-time ride for next season, it's certainly a nice gesture that they really didn't have to take.

Having another experienced driver on the track means Roush can gather a larger pool of data on the new car, so it's a pretty practical decision. Especially since Brad wants him to stay there, so it's not likely they'll be clashing over anything.

Just throwing this out here, but guys like Mctowell and Bacon boy don't deserve playoff spots; the win and your in scenario is the most broken part of this format imo. It should be whoever scores enough points to make the top-12 get in.
